  4. I'd eat my own pasta, cold. It's someone else's cold pasta I find less appealing. Like the dashboard ketchup trove, the stuff has an uncertain history, and there's nowhere for the absent flavour not to hide. (For a pasta sauce that retains it's character in tepid climes, you have to start by dissolving a couple of anchovies in a splash of oil. And perhaps add a spray of mustard seeds. Followed by a dash of balsamic. Then you're winning.)
  5. Hi all, I need to clear some space in my wood storage area, and I don't have the time or manpower to convert it into firewood sales this winter, so... If there is a firewood merchant out there who wants to stock up, let me know - the wood is free. There's a big pile, I would hazard there is 30 ton but really that's a very rough guess. The vast majority is hardwood, and most of it has been in situ for a year or more. You can access the site with a 7.5tonne lorry, any time of day. Alternatively, if anyone wants just a little slice of the action that's fine too. The area is W11 / NW10, Kensal Green, London.
  6. I have around 30 tons of firewood available in the W11 / NW10 area of London. Most of it is seasoned around 1 year, and the majority is hardwood. The wood is in rounds and lengths. The wood is available without charge, I just want to clear a bit of space, so if you want any of it let me know.
  7. Hi John, at the moment I don't have the time to deliver wood to you, but if you have a friend who has a truck or trailer then you can select any wood you like from my wood storage area. The wood is in the Ladbroke Grove / Kensal Green area (W11 / NW10). It can be accessed any time of day, there is around 30 tons available. There's a mixture of rounds and lengths, all different sizes. The vast majority is hardwood, and most of it is already seasoned a year or more. Let me know if you want more information, there's no charge for the wood, and the same applies to anyone else reading this post.
