OK mate I'll look into it.

How about something like this to get me by for a couple of years until I updgrade my little car to a 4x4 and perhaps take someone on who can drive the 4x4 and chipper in. Don't need B&E to tow as long as chipper is below 750kg.

Yeah I know... Hyundai etc etc but I do have a Hyundai post hole borer and 4000psi jetwasher and both have stood up to a lot of s***.

Just looking for something for the small bits 4 inches and below to begin with.

that chipper will be toss you need a 6 inch chipper minimum if you can't afford the kit to do a decent job maybe go work for someone to save funds up to set it up properly?.

  3. Larks foot a cut away strap on to the eye of the snap lock biner then pass it through the attachment on the zillon and just loop it over the snap hook again.

If the cut away is too small you can get a small sewn sling to do the job instead

    was considering the sewn sling

i certain arb provider try to sell me this for it £60 nearly jesus the swivel opens with an allen key

  4. i'll see what the local 4x4 breakers have. Just a curiosa but is it possible to get some sort of valve that allows you to run two rams separately off the one pump? Just asking as I might build my own towable hydraulic log splitter some day and was wondering if I plumbed in a hydraulic hose running from the tipping gear to the back of the L200, I could then connect up the splitter and run it off the pickup?

yes just put a valve in that you can manually open and close interesting idea

  5. Log Goblins exist because they soon realise that after paying a fortune to have the Stove fitted and the chimney flue lined they soon realise that buying logs wood is a expensive way of Heating regardless after what car they drive . Most folk are obsessed with the cutting of the wood and back to basics lol .

I did a job many years ago and I had a bulk bag of dead torpedo size logs left over after finishing and I would have to return to pick them up, the next door neighbour asked if she could have them and I said yes £25 for me time cutting them up, I ended up down to a Fiver and still she refused to pay knowing that I had to come back !! That bag of logs I winched up to the top of my LDV tipper determined not to let her have them lol

    Ste

i would of to £5 jesus some people take the piss really i would never give logs away unless i like the person haha i gave about 5 rings about 4 inch thick 24 inch diameter and some decent size logged branches maybe fill half a ton bag and i took away the seasoned conifer he had for free dropping a ton bag of seasoned logs off ton him tomorrow ;)
