Oh well, I guess it never happens then....my point being - cast alloys are prone to imperfections, so you may not see the weakness until you cut and grind out the port fins (something Husqvarna probably didn't intend to be done)

Stubby - My 365 is super reliable, Has never let me down yet and so I don't want to go and alter the covers and have an issue I can't undo, quite often cast parts could have a weakness that you cant see until you cut the fin off etc. I wonder what happens if you break a cover during a rebuild etc.? surprised they expect you to buy a complete cylinder! I just prefer having the parts to put it back. Has anyone got a set of second hand covers or a complete cylinder for sale?? Maybe I should just be happy that its a good going 365 and stop chasing MORE POWER! Regards, Gixer

Does anyone know if and where a set of transfer port covers can be purchased for a Husqy 365xt or 372? I want to do the 372 conversion but do not want to grind out my originals so the saw can be put back to standard if I want. Is there a Husqvarna part number? Any help appreciated. Regards, Gixer

Hi Easy-lift guy, Thanks for the help, I did hear I can get non ethanol fuel so will find that and use it... On the trimmer - the one I have was bought here in the USA (a 128LDX) I noticed they sell a cheaper version called a 128 LD in Lowes and Trimmer plus attachments fit it but that is a completely different drive shaft and attachment system (the 128 LDx is apparently a heavier duty machine than the LD) The parts I was looking for were to convert hedge trimmer which is a $270 part and also convert it to a brushcutter The parts I need are apparently - 5451397-01 - Which is a handle - Not sure why I need this as I already have a handle on it! 5038901-01 - which is a "support cup" 5038563-01 - which is a "nut" There is no mention of what blade I need so I'm a little confused on that... any help appreciated! Ok, so I guess I just use the Husqy pre-mix fuel then, thanks for the input people, it's amazing what you don't think of with things like this! One thing about the Husqy stuff here is its way cheaper to buy, I've bought a 128LDX strimmer and a 125BVX blower/vac here and both were much cheaper than I could get them in the UK when I looked. the only issue is attachments for the strimmer are harder to get here (everytime I search it comes up with FR jones or world of power in the UK) EDIT - the Husqy pre-mix is ethanol free apparently.... I recently moved to the USA and took my UK 365 x-torq with me, I have not used it since is got here but now need to, I found Husqvarna pre-mixed 50:1 fuel here in the US and I was just wondering if it will make a big difference or cause any damage. There is a big thing here with Husqy/Stihl etc whereby the ethanol in the petrol damages the fuel lines and rubber parts if left in contact with it. I've never noticed this in the UK so just wanted to see if anyone has info on this? Regards, Gixer.

Well, it turns out the LD and the LDX are different so I am back to having to buy the ridiculously priced Husqy attachments....why does a hedge trimmer attachment cost more than the powerhead!?! C'mon Husqvarna - sort that out! Anyone know of any brand that will fit like Poulan etc?

I found out the trimmerplus attachments will fit the Husqy LD range which is fantastic as they are sold at Lowes (like the U.S. Version of B&Q) and I can get the hedge trimmer and brush cutter attachments for almost half what the Husqy hedge trimmer attachment was on its own! Regards, Gixer

Thanks, The part I'm looking at is for the 128 - Husqvarna HA110 Hedge Trimmer 4" Boom DX Attachment 537196605 128LDX | eBay It seems expensive when the power head was less... (I'm in the states at the moment which is why its in dollars) If you can find another part number that's cheaper I would definitely appreciate it! Regards, Gixer

Thanks folks, I did think about the back pack but really this was the only offering with the vac function and I needed that for the mountains of dry leaves. I will try backing out the high screw a little and see what happens. Regards, Garry

Just wondering what people think of the above blower, bought one the other day and its a fantastic tool! seems very well designed, the only small issue I have is sometimes when you try to give it throttle from idle it offers to die, so you have to slowly coax the throttle to let it build, any ideas what this would be? Low or high speed adjustment?? Regards, Garry

Hello folks, Would anyone know if there is a universal type hedge trimmer attachment that will fit my 128LDX strimmer? The Husqvarna one is ridiculously expensive (costs more than the strimmer power head itself!) Thanks in advance for any help. Garry

Thanks for the advice and offers folks, I can't really justify the cost of the Stihl ones as it won't get used that often and to be honest with a spec of 230v 85w i can't see why that would be any different to a clarke one at £45 which is also 230v 85w! I got through to the link on Ebay and to be honest you would ne better off letting it run as its at £32 now and a new one is £45 - but I appreciate the offer. If only I knew when the Aldi ones were coming in as they seem fine for the £20 they cost! Regards, Gixer

I have a few saws and sharpen them by hand with a file but I have found I now have a rather large pile of old chains that cannot be sharpened by hand due to damage when I have found a nail in a tree etc, the chains could be ground back so I was looking at the electric chainsaw charpenerd on Ebay - what are the thoughts on these? Specifically this one - Neilsen Electric Chainsaw Blade Sharpener 130W | eBay thanks in advance. Gixer

Thank you sir! So basically I should just need to adjust the high jet not the low... What do people think the power increase is by doing this? Would it be the same power as the 372? Also, my 365 is about a year old - does anyone know what the warranty period is as I assume this will well and truly bugger it! Regards, Gixer

Hi folks, I'm new to posting but have been reading on here for a while! On the 365 modification - I have a 1 year old 365xt - do I need to remove the cyclinder completely to get the transfer covers off? is it a T-25 security torx bit? and can someone post a step by step carb retune guide for after the transfer port limiters have been removed?
