  2. Im not saying im a brilliant climber and no i havnt got the experience but i can climb and have done loads of trees within the past year, nothing too major yet though. And i dont think anybody would pay their employer money to learn lol and i paid enough to college to get my tickets

  6. yea i will. i think that 80 is fair considering that i'm 25 ,have all the tickets to do the job, drive and pretty much work my backside off. just hope he will cos im really happy working with him ,he has taught me alot and is a really sound guy to be honest.

Im only asking because ive asked the guy that i have been working with for about 8 months that i want 80 a day but im not sure that he wants to pay me that. we havnt really discussed it yet but we will be on monday so i just wanted to see whether what i was asking for was too much.

  10. because there might be a genuine reason why he hasn't been in touch mate and now he is definatly not going to give you a chance once he sees that comment. just be patient and if he does not get in touch you just need to man up and move on.

  14. i give him two numbers. one for a full time college course which with funding is really cheap considering what he will get from it and one for an apprenticeship with a tree firm in his area. didn't anything come from those?

  18. Thanks for that. Think i might of been cutting too quick cos when i realized the gap was closing it was too late. Well at least ive got a few more days practice of cross cutting large trees. Will put everyones advice into practice

  25. Cheers joe , by the sound of it the wedges are the best way to go because other people have gave me the same advice. Youd of thought i would of been taught this at college , this is the first ive heard about using wedges
