That's an iteresting write up we bought our kindlet in 2010 but have a machine that dates back to the 1900 also and my late grandfather has been doing kindling for the past 50yrs as the winter part of his shed and garden furniture business I currently have around 150-175ton of wood ready for this winter to be chopped I only supply about 15 local shops and supply itin a 25kg sack with around 8-9kg of wood per bag about nets worth I won't say what I charge wholesale but what should I be charging I don't know if I'm to greedy or not charging enougth Talking of kindlets when we bought ours number 311 I spoke to the delivery driver on the open day he said he was delivering 4-5 machines within 1 mile radiusofeach other and quite often how can these boys sustain it so local to each other Steve
  2. I use new off cut timber as said above all cut to around 6inches kindlet loves it and so does the the other machine I have
  3. Squashed fingers before but they mend my grandad was quicker than I am on her but we were not far apart Hense why I invested in the kindlett lol but would never part with this machine to much sentimental value plus I've never seen another :-) Steve
  4. It was abt 8k on a show day 3yrs ago we went to look as ended up putting it on the truck lol I'll post a pic/video of the over one I have :-) Steve

  6. It can yes can't remember the size of the top of my head I think it's no bigger than 8 inch rounds 6inch long Very good machine :-)

Yer tbh thinking about it I'm going to look for a couple more local customers :-) Only want sort another 100-150 a week more I know it's weather dependent But I've got over 80ton of brand new kiln dried wood to saw up as chop plust what ever I get this year so was just trying to think ahead Steve

I agree it is an odd first post as there arnt many forums like this I have had to go round the house just to find out cpl supply the bags there selfs but yet that wouldn't tell me that via email also they won't give a indication on price I think tbh honest I would be better just finding a few extra outlets locally Thanks for the feedback stevd
  10. Does anybody on here supply cpl with kindling and roughly how much do you charge per sack or per pallet ? Kind regards steve
