  1. Hmmm....going to look into this for when I split next years wood....been so busy this year we've had to keep clearing the rubbish to keep the yard tidy...and paying to go to a green waste centre!!!! I like the paper bag ideas as lighters...or I'll just heat my own house with it!...or even small net bags as "complimentary" natural kindling for customers?

  2. Just had the same 5 mins ago....new customer...ooo, really...it is close to Christmas...will have to get back to you...me: no problem at all madam, but we do always sell out and have a Christmas shut down...let me know when your ready and I'll see if I can get to you or have any left...lol

    Another time waster!!!!!

  3. Ha ha ha. So true. I had a rather snooty wifey on the phone this morning asking for a load of washed logs to be delivered on 23rd. When I asked what she meant by washed she said she was having a party and did not want the guests getting dirty hands putting logs on the fire. I told her to leave them out in the rain and she hung up on me. Can't be bothered with folk like that. Know where her house is and its the size of a small town

Love it!!!! Made me laugh...telling me you don't wash all your logs before you sell them!?? Lol

  4. With any used kit, please go and see it, ring the suppliers with the serial number and take someone who can test rotor neartings, look at shear bats, feel for play in the roller drives and know it complies with current H&SE regs. £4k isn't much when you consider vat, so while you shouldn't expect a great deal, you don't want to buy and tjern spend loads more! Good luck - please consider using what you have as a deposit on something newer and with warranty!

That's a very good point...when I was first looking I found nice looking/good condition chippers...however most of them didn't comply with H&S ie, stop bars missing (some old ones don't have them) and had a dusting of new paint that made them look nice!!!!

  5. We had a demo of a 635...great machine...I want it...just got to justify it...hopefully soon!!!!

I started looking at the 420, but a lot of people suggest the 520 or 635...better lift and flow on the hydrolics...it's a hard choice...only one that you want to make once!

  6. Ah....but I'm sure that's only if you are employed on a full time basis doing that job...ie driving all day...if you or your guys are employed mainly doing tree work/yard work etc...and on an occasional basis..ie 2 days a week (non fixed) drive it is exempt? I and a friend enquired with that advise given....

  7. More like a timber crane...but extends past the trailer, plus wings round and can load the truck....

Nothing is perfect...sometimes can't even get in with it!

We deliver 99% loose....the trailer is mainly used for picking up sticks from jobs....will try and put a pic on...
