  1. We are looking for a climber for a shift in Liverpool this Saturday night. PM for info. Thanks.
  2. For the cost of getting it and how long it lasts vs how many clients demand it, it's well worth it.
  3. We put our guys through LISS a while ago. It required a touch screen test as per CSCS, and attendance on a ROLO course. Then you send it all off with evidence of NPTC's etc and you end up with a blue LISS with your skill set on the back. Many clients still seem to accept CSCS, but we've started to see specific requests for operatives with LISS. It's easy enough to do, just a little long-winded and of course more expensive. Hope this helps.

  7. Does anyone know if there's anywhere that hires out the above? If PTO driven then to fit a 160hp tractor, if exc mounted then to fit a 13 tonne machine. Attachment only, North West area. I'm guessing the answer is no but it's always worth asking. Thanks

  14. We would be interested to hear from any machine operators who have experience of plant operations within a vegetation management environment. We have various ongoing contracts which frequently require the use of plant for clearance of trees and vegetation, and landscaping projects. Experience of activities such as tractor driving, side-arm flailing, use of 360's with various implements, working adjacent to highways and railways, working adjacent to water courses, and fencing/reinstatement works. We would also be particularly keen to hear from anyone used to working on very boggy ground. CPCS units preferable, but not always an absolute. PM if you're interested or want to know more. Many Thanks Ontrack

  20. Hello all, Ontrack AGM is a commercial grounds maintenance company based in the Preston area of Lancashire. We look after a variety of vegetation management contracts ranging from weekly grounds maintenance visits through to large site clearances. Our clients include companies in a variety of sectors including retail, rail, highways, environmental, and construction. Geographically we typically cover the north of England, with occasional contracts further afield. A considerable amount of the work we undertake is arboricultural work, or work that requires NPTC/LANTRA etc qualifications. As we are approaching the time of year when this type of work picks up, we would be interested to hear from anyone looking for work, be it on a self-employed labour basis or anyone considering a more permanent position. As mentioned above, we are based just outside Preston so anyone looking for a more permanent position would realistically have to be in a position to get to the yard each morning. In particuar our rail work is picking up, so anyone with PTS would have a head start. We have active rail contracts with more currently being priced. CSCS, highways experience, and ability to tow legally are also a big help. In terms of saw tickets etc, basic groundsaw and a chipper ticket would be minimum requirements. Any questions please feel free to post or even better PM. Thanks
