  1. Quoted a job for a hotel that we've worked for before. Always dealt with the maintenance man. He called and asked us to carry out the work.

    We called in and confirmed with duty manager before starting. Finished the job, put in the invoice and now 3 months later they are saying no-one said the work was to be done and there not paying. The maintenance man left just after we finished.

    I know folk get signed paperwork and purchase orders but up here it's not normally like that.

    Any advice or help?

  2. Fair enough, but cobra is designed to allow the tree to move so won't winching the stems in at the top will just put unorthodox stress on the Union that they aren't used to.

    That's really interesting I've never seen failed steel bracing. What size bar was used? Was there plates and bolts too ?

  3. If your worried go for the 8 ton, I've braced some monster limbs with cobra but never one that I thought would break the 8 ton.

    Is the bracing to help poor unions or prevent the limbs falling on the building if they fail ?
