  1. Thanks David 👍
  2. David do you think the 2nd and 3rd pics could be rigidoporus also ? They all seem quite localised between 2m and 3m some on the main stem and others on the codominal stems. The crown breaks at about 2.5m into 3 stems. The fruiting bodies seem to originate from old large pruning wounds. The crown is exhibiting a fair amount of die back also. I may get some resistograph testing to find the extent of the decay.
  3. Here are some pics of the first one
  4. What do we recon to this ? Host beech 2 metres up the stem, I was thinking an old laetiporus :-/
  5. What diameter timber is you max please ? And thanks I will give you a call tmw

After err........ leaving the fuel cap on top of a tesco fuel pump this morning first of all does anyone know if the fuel tanks on the TR6 are Kubota tanks ? as i need to source a new cap pronto !, and secondly has anyone changed over their black original tank, to the new "CLEAR EASY FILL FUEL TANK"
  14. Thanks ...Sugi ordered 👍
  15. i have been using an Oregon 15"" bar on it for a while but fancy a change, the sugi light looks a good replacement, but from what i have seen i will have to go to a 18"" bar :confused1:
  16. What's your preference ? Was looking at sticking one of these on a ms361
  17. FdSc is level 5 as it's a foundation degree and not full degree. The L6 arb has elements of level 5, 6 and 7. So it's all depends on what you want to do with the qualification. If registered consultancy is you fend goal the you will need a level 6 and above. So a full degree BSc or the L6 as a minimum 😐
  18. My 361 still lives after nine years ! Excellent mid range saw, been thinking of getting a new saw but really don't know what to go for .... :-/
  19. Well the work load on the L4 was tough and almost impossible, I think we had 45 assignments in 9 months so that would make the L6 ... Practically impossible :-/ if you don't need much sleep they are definitely the course for you, fall behind at your peril !! Think merrist wood were looking at scheduling the L4 over 2 academic years just because of the amount of work involved. But at the end of the day they are not supposed to be easy.
  20. Ok thanks, is there...dare I say it ! a suggested reading list that was given to you at the start if the course ?
  21. Sorry one more question.. Is there anything assignment wise worth starting now ??
  22. Yep I'm aware of the work load I've just this week finished the L4 Diploma at Merrist Wood with a 350 mile round trip back to Devon every Wednesday :-) it was pretty tough going but again worth it ! I think I will just look into the financing in a bit more detail, then just go for it ! At least I've completed one of the level 5 Units already which is a bonus. Thanks guys I appreciate your comments 👍
  23. Yes spoke to her on Thursday and have all the joining details, they have quite a good interest free pay by instalments scheme over the 2 year period but it still amounts to finding £300 a month for the next 2 years, I was just slightly concerned about over committing myself financially. For me it's about finding the appropriate funding, do you pay by instalments or did you just pay in one wack ?
  24. I am really interested in taking this course on ! does anyone know :- Is it just Treelife offering this course now or are there any other providers ? Also with anyone whom has done this course, did you manage to get any funding via student finance ? It looks like a good course and with a good qualification to gain from it, but doesn't seem to be very accessible, if anyone has any info they could pass on it would be greatly appreciated
  25. They were supplied at extra cost with a skid carrier built in underneath. I find it a really versatile trailer as the skids fit in any position around the bed, and excellent build quality. I have had no troubles with this trailer in fact I think it's one if my best buys ever ! The only thing I could gripe about are how the clip chains are held in position with a rivet !! which is pretty poor considering the price of the trailer, nothing that a few TEK screws won't sort though 👍
