Now Pfanner have stopped making there Hi vis yellow trousers, can anyone recomend another brand?

The other weekend i had 30k worth of saws and climbing kits stolen. My first reaction was to blame it on the travelling comunity. However due to the the hard work of the surrey police they have found some of my gear and are charging some young tree surgeons from my area. Makes me worry about the next generation!!!

That than was reported to be shopping out the gas works down the road from our yard!! Do you know if they are still at runfold?

Just to let people know, our yard near Godalming got broken into last night. About £30,000 worth of saws and 12 climbing kits got taken!!

I think it comes down to what you want to do in the future. If you want to climb for as long as possible then you might as well get payed as much as possible with the smaller companies. If you want something more then large companies offer good training packages and career progression. I wasted to many years with small or family run companies where there was never a chance of being more than a team leader. . . . .

Currently two of my teams are working near a large traveller site in surrey. Every day they pull into our site to see what they can take. One of them managed to get into the van and took the fuel card. Now i have put extra men on the job just for security. The travellers still keep driving past giving the guys abuse. Its only going to be a matter of time before they try our yard i think!!
