  1. Steve, Two things that I would like to see: 1. A Forum blowout preventer, for those who post HUGE great photos and cause the rest of us to have to scroll to the right to view whatever they've posted. 2. A shotgun feature to blast those members who insist on "quoting" the whole of the previous post . . . . . . . . . and a double shotgun blast to those who "quote" a whole series of photographs. Grrrrrrr!!
  2. Would some kind person please explain why 'old' or 'stale' fuel is not good and what the problems might be with using it. I have a particular interest in this. Have had health problems and haven't used chainsaw for 6 months. Need to know what problems I will encounter if I don't drain fuel and refill with fresh.
  3. This it? https://sussex.police.uk/news/thieves-steal-thousands-of-pounds-worth-of-equipment-from-battle-business/
  4. Brave man Ali, in today's winds.
  5. No problem Steve. You are forgiven. I'm only little and usually have to jump up and down to get noticed.
  6. Problem now solved. Thanks to post by user "jrose" in General Chat, 2 hours ago.
  7. When I view Arbtalk without logging in, the top 2 Forum items are :- Arbtalk Charity Raffle 2016, and . . . . News When I view Arbtalk after logging in, those two items do not appear. My Forum viewing starts with Tree Care Forum. Why is this and is it something that I should be able to rectify?
  8. Interesting question because that is not even answered on their website.
  9. Its wood. Wood burns. Nuff said.
  10. Keep an eye out for your 'groundy'. He's obviously a sex maniac.
  11. I have dealt with Adrian Flux for about 16 years. Never had a problem. Have had quick response via email or phone whenever I've had a query. Talk to them.
  12. Kevin, In 1963 I was rowing up the Tamar in a clinker built boat from HMS Raleigh. I either didn't get that far up the river or I was too young to notice the beauty of those trees.
  13. The situation seems straightforward to me. Your 80+ years old person has appointed someone (a company) to handle her affairs. You now have to deal with them. Similar situation would be if a company you were dealing with was sold to (or taken over by) another company. You'd have to deal with the new company. They (the management company) will be dealing with her best interests and so would be presumed to be carrying out her wishes. In my opinion you have no right to insist that you continue to speak to her. I'm assuming that, by her appointment of a management company, she has no further desire for that to happen.
  14. Sorry there Doobop but I may have missed the point of your two posts. Checked out Skyline Tree Surgery . . . . . Lawn Mowing Services, and then wondered why you had posted. Please explain.
  15. Looks a fine stick. Sorry, but I'm not about to offer you help to get rid of it. However, I have had a chuckle because every similar thread where someone asks "Would anyone like this?" has an early response saying "If only I was on your side of the country" or "If only I was within 200 miles of you". Imagine if you put it, for example, on Ebay and most of the responses weren't from bidders but from people saying "not interested".
  16. Smart reply to a post that is exactly (to the day) six years old.
  17. My apologies. I stand corrected. My eyesight needs correction.
  18. Nearby where? Poor salesman who doesn't state where the goods are. Unless, of course, the prospective purchaser is relying on the nonsensical postage offer. :laugh1:
  19. Well Steve, you have plenty of suggestions to keep you busy and a few more to blow your mind. I have two things that I would like to see. 1. A built in spell-checker. 2. A "Log Out" button at the head of each page avoiding the need to scroll down to New Zealand to complete that simple task. Good luck with your (major) rebuild.
  20. Received my Lightmyfire knife this afternoon. Thank you Overlander for donating the prize and supporting the raffle.
  21. Is it new? (we know the value of that) Has it been worn by Mendy Plogs? (If so its priceless)
  22. Jon, take no notice of Stubby . . . . . . . . . . . . he's talking silly. There's more than 100 billion birds in the world. There's approximately 320 thousand aircraft in the world. And, who knows how many supermen there might be. You keep feeding the birds Jon and ignore that naughty Stubby who is trying to misinform you.
  23. There's a lot of people posting in this thread talking a lot of b*ll*cks. Yes, Private Parking Companies can't issue 'fines'. However, they can issue 'penalties' for contravening the terms of parking or for trespass. They can, and often do, pursue these to court if you ignore them. My advice is never to ignore a private parking notice. Further advice is to visit a site such as "Pepipoo" ( FightBack Forums )where you will get some good information rather than that codswallop posted by some in this thread. Another titbit. Aldi will always ensure that a private parking notice is cancelled if you provide them with a copy of your shopping receipt, or credit card or bank statement. Trust me. I have had 4 tickets recently for (senior moments) inputting the wrong registration number into their system. This is who to contact for results : - [email protected] Definitely never ignore a parking charge.
  24. Mr Tree Kangaroo, You seem to be very impatient. Four hours after your original post you post again saying "no ones interested". Give people a chance to read your offer. Also, your stated location is 'Lancashire'. That covers approximately 2,000 square miles. Try to be a little more precise. It all helps.
  25. Silky, two pages ago you were on the subject of Spiderman. My grandchildren call me Spiderman. Not because I have super powers, but because I struggle to get out of the bath.
