  1. I have an approx 20 year old and 12 feet high Berberis tree in my garden. Recently limbs have started to fall from it. The limbs have holes running along the length of them. These holes continue into the trunk of the tree. The holes are up to 10mm dia. There is no sign of grubs, bugs or any other wildlife inside the holes. What might it be that is burrowing into my tree?
  2. This won't give you the answers you require, but I don't think that its an opium pipe. Opium pipes traditionally have a single bowl either centrally or towards one end. It would be interesting to see more detail of the larger piece at the right hand end of the 'instrument'.
  3. There's some good information regarding many types of coffin you could have a go at yourself here:- Coffins | The Good Funeral Guide About half way down the page on that link is a beautiful plain pine coffin. That one would do me nicely . . . . . . . . . but I'm not in a hurry to use it.
  4. Ahem ... . ... . .. methinks you have made an error there too. There is no requirement to notify anyone or any organisation about the presence of ragwort.
  5. Japanese Knotweed can be a nightmare. The Environment Agency has a very informative site that has links to most things you will need to know about this horribly invasive weed. Linky:- Environment Agency - Japanese knotweed Best of luck with your problem.
