  1. Yes i was being serious I was thinking along the lines of the pumps being purposefully incorrect. sure its an offence, that weights and measures would be quick to act on i imagine. But does it happen?(or indeed has it?)
  2. what about the accuracy of the petrol amount?
  3. so that was todays problem bloated can....=too much fuel.
  4. A working collegue has been preparing 5 litre fuel mixes by the split can mark. Today after a very brief run my MS260 stopped running efficiently. Checked the plug and it was scorching...I reckon i have been running a lean mix, and now have a damaged saw. Changed all the fuel over for a new mix by the petrol pump gauge. other kit seems fine at end of day. Any thoughts on petrol can expansion/contraction and litre innacuracy? and your preffered means of reference for fuel amount. Thanks.
  5. :embarassed:It was a duff spark plug.... dont tell anyone
  6. thanks Ill try these things, but i reckon skyhuck is right. It ran out of fuel just as i was completing a cut so i gave it full revs to try and finish:sad:
  7. Two Month old stihl 201, ran out of fuel yesterday, after refilling failure to start. suspected id flooded it so gave it a rest. tried later still had to go through different choke settings to finally get it to fire. It ran very breifly..tried to fettle it to get it up to speed but it died and failed to start again. Any thing i could do before returning it to dealers? Thanks.

I regularly have use of a 54 plate TD4 whilst jeep cherokee being repaired, lovely driver, capable off roader, average tower, great MPG, space for Kit great..would imagine the commercial version to be even better. Use it for qoutes, travel to subcontract yards and odd garden maintainence job and small tree work with an 8 x 4 single axle trailer. Reliable too.
