  1. This is not a forsale post but just wondered if these would be any good for woodturners/bowl makers?

    all hardwood, oak/spaulted beech/cherry/holly ect, 3-6" thick 4-20" diametre

does this stuff have any use

2210%20083_zpsjcys9og9.jpgor should I log it up for firewood

  2. Have had this ms201 saw for a few months now but have encountered a problem.

It starts ok, and runs ok, but after a few minutes use it will cut out, then impossible to start again, I have to leave it for 5-10 Mins and restart using cold start procedure.

Any idea whats causing this? not air filter as I just put a new one on

    Thanks in advance

  3. looking into an alaskan mill, buying a larger chainsaw isnt feasable at the moment, just wondering whats the longest bar realistically possible to use on my current stihl ms441 chainsaw, currently using a 25" bar,

how long can I realistically go for milling?

    thanks

    tom

  4. Pretty sure I need a new crankshaft system for my BG 85 stihl blower, trouble is There are next to nothing on ebay, does anyone know if other crankshafts from small chainsaws or similar would fit? or does it have to be the exact part for the exact blower model?

size or code description? may just buy a complete spares/repairs unit and strip for parts, or if no luck sell what I have

    any help appreciated

  5. been using my stihl bg56 blower for ages then suddenly after starting it up it made a crunching rattle noise, took it apart and noticed where the crankshaft connects to the turny bit with needle roller bearings, its missing a narrow sacer so you can see the needle bearings, my guess is the spacer exploded into pieces

can I just buy replacements or do I need to by a complete crank shaft kit? does anyone here have something I can use? no other damaged caused as far as I can see

    thanks in advance

    tom

  6. Alright folks, still looking for the below materials

have a huge log store to build, have the framework sorted now, just need something to keep the rain off

    approx size is 7m x 14m, about 3m high

Appearance doesnt matter as its being built on the cheap (all timber for framework, posts 2x4's etc scavenged from local farms and bonfire sites

Does anyone know of sheet roofing material going spare? anything will do, been looking at reclaimed corrugated metal sheeting (still fairly expensive, box profile sheeting new is very expensive and the same stuff used is scarce on the ground, nearest source is over 150miles away

any of you guys have anything that could help me out? or know of someone that could?

Im located in Hailsham, East Sussex and more than willing to collect/travel up to 70miles for the right material

    Thanks in advance

    Tom

  7. Hi guys

just ran out of some 'super sexy chainsaw oil' 25l tub, bought it for £40 with free postage

tried to repeat order but price has gone way up

where can I find a 25l drum of chain oil, ideally under £50 with postage

    cheers in advance

    tom

  8. 1st 30% reduction on mature oak, very windy as you can see by the eucaliptus tree, probably should have waited til the wind died down to be fair

some landscaping in local industrial estate, rip out old planting (hedges/trees) replace with turf and bark for replanting

20-30% reduction on TPO chestnut tree

last is 15% treduction on TPO oak
