  1. id do the same as agg221 take the top off with the mill then set up for the mini mill but find something to fit inside the mini mill u may have to move the handle and re drill. it must b a good fit i use a metal rail this gets rid of any warp problems as your mini mill sits on the log not on the mini mill rails (6 x1 etc) also easier to set up not as much messing about measuring just mark size of cut place chain next to mark and screw down move mill to other end screw down and cut hope that helps
  2. hi i would also be interested to hear more about your system but im also not sure about how the water heating bit works have you used this to dry other products
  3. i had a problem like this i think your guide rail board is warped or cupped
  4. what size timber have you got the mini mill rails fitted to and have they been on it for a while

  7. hello rhob the log if u make that rail system on stands at each end how will u get the chainsaw mill on it without taking it to bits every time i thought about making one to do 6m oak beams for a garage i made but did them on a woodmizer in the end i made the rest with chainsaw mill

  11. if i can get it out of the field i will if it ever stops raining . Its 30" wide going down to about 18" and about 12m long im not sure how thick to make the slabs ive been told it can fall apart if to thin when dried

    hello everyone im looking for some advice about chainsaw milling bog oak its been out of the ground about 6 years but not undercover can it b done
