  1. Viking mowers are really good or the money! I have used one commercially for 3 years in the whole time I have had it I have serviced once and put 3 new blades on it totalling £70. It's only a 17" mower with a rear roller for stripes but it is a1. It gets used in housing estates and small gardens where a big mower is awkward. Sent via postman pat.
  2. As for finance I don't do finance I'd rather save and own it myself even if it is old!! Fair play
  3. What about putting your £1900 as a deposit on something then finance the rest? Get something that ticks all the boxes? Your monthly payments may seem nothing compared to the bother you might get from buying an older truck? Just a thought?
  4. Or does anyone know what a meter cubed of chip weighs?
  5. Can anyone tell me what weight a space 8ft x 4ft x 4ft high would be if it was filled with chip, it always rains up north so let's say wet chip!! Thanks
  6. Vertex vent really good!
  7. I have generally found with vac they are more hassle than they are worth. Always blocking up a pain to push around...... A back pack blower a garden tub and dumpy bag is my preferred choice! Loads faster!!!
  8. It's to be a general trailer, logs, tracked chipper when required, overflow chip. But a very good point made earlier regarding width and access I didn't think of that.
  9. Which one do people think is better the ifor williams gd105 or the indespension gt26105 both 10x5 both wheels on the side with a low bed both £2300 + vat. If anyone has experience of any of these I would be grateful to hear. Thanks
  10. Yer I noticed that, on the new ifors the tt2515 has small wheels on but they are hellish thin! The trailer launches itself around and it rattles all over the place, I think a light trailer with small wheels isn't the best combination, perhaps with the bigger wheels it won't feel all the little bumps in the road as much? Sent via postman pat.
  11. I think ifor mesh kit with mesh cut off and 2mm galved sheet welded on then re galved so it won't rust. Make a canopy out of ally and bolt it to the insides of your sides so you can fill every inch of the trailer.
  12. Thanks for your reply I'll take your advice on that cheers mate. Think I'd be a bit unsure of a tw150 on this trailer mind! Thanks Andrew
  13. The other thing is this, when I do a job I go from home to job site, drop off groundie and trailer, then hire shop to get tracked chipper on trailer (£15 extra for trailer hire) then back to job site. Put 8x5 tipper trailer back on then do job! Then tip trailer and take home back to job site pick up groundie and chipper on hired trailer, drop off at hire shop then home for well earned rest oh and fuel station as I have probably done a good 100 miles or so! So a ifor williams gd105 could take the chipper on way to job then could cut out some trailing about! But on the down side the trailer would need manually unloading! I can't afford to get a tt3017 10ft tipper and also the 10ft tipper is considerably heavier! Do you recon still keep tipper? Trailer pictured below is what I am thinking of getting
  14. Legally not much but loaded so trailer is balanced well it will pull a 2 ton but filled to the brim with chip it is about 1.75 ton Van is a 174bhp it is 6speed also so it pulls well as the gears are short. I eventually plan to get a tipper truck but for now it's the van only.
