  1. I've just seen this and was blown away. Sorry if its already been posted before. What A Man Did With This Tree Trunk Will Blow Your Mind. This Is What Four Years Of Hard Work Looks Like… ‹ truthseekerdaily.com
  2. I was tempted with the 372 but think i will go all out and get the 395. Like I said I've got the 550 but think its too small. I don't think I'll want anything bigger than the 395 so if all fails I can go for the 372. Thanks for your advice Ed
  3. Thanks for all your answers, and cheers Dan. I'm very tempted to go with the 395.
  4. I've used the 440 with a 24" or 25" bar can't remember and thought it was a very good saw. I've also used a 372 and thought it had the edge over the 440. I suppose its down to personal preference.
  5. I have a 550xp at the minute, its fantastic for small stuff as its light and powerful. But not so good for the bigger stuff. I'm thinking 372xp or even 395. I'm by no means a small chap. but do you think 395 is overkill. cheers Ed
  6. If you could only have one chainsaw, For felling, sneading and everyday use what would you have? Sorry if this has been asked before! Cheers, Ed
  7. I had some good news today.I got in touch with the dealer I purchased the saw from and they said husqvarna are well aware of this problem with the saw. All I have to do now is send it back and it's being fixed under warranty. I was told that there is only 1 years warranty with husqvarna but because it's a known fault they will fix it. Still a pain and inconvenience but at least it's getting sorted
  8. Hi Spud, Thanks for getting back to me. I'm running it on 50-1 The small 100ml husqvarna tubs to 5L of petrol. When I checked the plug it was black. Cheers Ed
  9. Other than the chain brake breaking, it has been a superb saw. I'm sure it only has 12 months warranty. I will certainly find out. Thanks for your help.
  10. There was a little tiny bit of very fine dust in the carb but nothing major. The air filter seems fine too! I thought you only get 12 months warranty?
  11. I haven't seen the damage yet but before I make a decision I will want to see it. I was running it on the right mixture with Husqvarna 2 stroke. It was losing power and become a right pain to start, hence why I took it in to get looked at.
  12. I've Just found out my 550 which I've owned for about 18 months needs a new barrel piston and rings. I've been quoted £300+vat. I'm very annoyed to say the least, I'm not a full time tree surgeon and the saw has not been worked too hard. I only use it for sneading. Do I write it off, see what I can get for it and buy a new saw? Or do I bite the bullet and get it fixed?
  13. What do you do if you see a spaceman...... park in it man
  14. I can do it, Just need a helicopter if anyone has one I can use lol
  15. I normally use a zubat but have just ordered a sugowaza. Has anyone used one, If so are they any good. Cheers
  16. Unfortunately whilst climbing the other day, I managed to snap my Zubat 330mm blade. I have a few options. I Was looking at getting either a 420mm Sugoi or Sugowaza saw? or do I get a replacement blade for my zubat and then buy a 300mm Gomtaro saw. The second option would mean I would have 2 saws and a choice of curved and straight blades for around the same money! I look forward to hearing your answers. Cheers. Ed
  17. I think I will take it to a dealer and get it looked at. Thanks for you help Stubby.
  18. Thanks. Being a the very organised person that I am, I seem to have misplaced the Manuel. I will have a look on youtube and see what I can find
  19. Thanks for your answer. How do i set the auto tune?

    550 xp

Hi everyone, I've got a Husqvarna 550 apart from a new clutch has been fantastic until now. For some reason when I'm using it, it suddenly loses power like it's being starved of fuel and then it's fine again? Has anyone else had this problem or have any idea what it could be. Thanks in advance Ed
  21. A length of a piece of string is, twice the length from the centre to the end. Do it for a days wage and a lifetime of experience.
  22. Sorry, my bad! I meant loler inspected. Thanks
  23. Mine skylotec is fine as I use it all the time and look after it. The Tree Austria Harness is off a friend and is immaculate. I will get it loler tested before I do anything with it!
