  1. Hi flex first time you put them on you feel snug after a few weeks you feel like there the next size up ha! Wouldn't buy anything other than stihls tho.
  2. The picker company went to his house and said that is whats needed, there be 4 of us so if we need 2 up there its no problem bud.
  3. Atleast now you know im not a rip off murchant If it comes in I'll post pictures.
  4. That did cross my mind
  5. Yep, I have a yard for chip and a list of people who like a load on the drive. £1760 devided by 3 days is £586.60 or around that the two groundies take £60 each lets me walk with £466.66 a day.. Im happy
  6. Not just for height but for boom accross the width.
  7. 4 (3 paid) 1 just likes to get out
  8. I had £1760 written down
  9. You hit the nail on the head so why turn down a picker?!
  10. Theres three rows like this I said 3 days for the lot client said I've got a price for a picker for 3 days, with the picker I'd have the lot on the deck in one day its processing and carting away thats where the labour is. What the pickers costing is what I'd charge for that row pictured. The picker I was told I can have so why say no to him? I also stated that we would prob get half of one of the other rows done same day in the picker.
  11. pat on the back, they were done before about half way its all 3inch perfect straight poles inside. As for the pole your correct again, Thats pretty much the height there be left at after 10ft
  12. I told the client a day on that row, They have already spoken to the picker company and said yes to £650 for 3 days for the 27m (direct to them) so im not going to say no to using it. I just hoped I was correct in saying a day me neither I just know im alot cheaper than some firms as overheads are low so im 75% I'll be doing it.
  13. Liar you would use the truck in you avatar
  14. Pickers to save time, also I would'nt hedge trim it off ladders.
  15. Let me know your thoughts on amount of chip and time scale for that one row with what team? cheers
  16. picker isnt just due to lines its the amount there to be up and down and the density. Plus I dont have a bagless hoover so hoovering up the trails of connie through the house wont be far off picker hire
  17. Traffic management is going to be to blokes on the deck and a chapter 8 set up. its tucked out the way enough to avoid picker permit for highways.
  18. if using the picker it has to be roadside as its 3 foot higher ground the other side and turfed. The road is pretty quiet in the day. 27m picker for 3 days i can have for £650 cash. As for waste times what you think by two as its usually the case.
  19. its removing tops 10 foot and hedge cutting it roadside, theres 3 more rows like this one but battery died when I took that second shot. There is over one load of chip there also there be no cord as everything we cut is not over 6 inch dia.
  20. Too right, Its got to be a fixed price too. clients words 'day rates do nothing for me' lol
  21. theres another 2 rows like that to do one not as wide, my only worry is the amount of chip. pictures dont do it justice.
  22. was access as good? was it a take down?
  23. guestimates please! and yes one phoneline runs through half of them.
  24. Get the ciders out.. I just hope the takeaways can deliver!
  25. It's a ball ache Jon, tomorrow's going to be cancelled.. Hopefully UK power networks can meet me on site still to see who's going to be affected when they shut a line off thats running thru the middle of an oak fell. Ash
