It’s various between different companies. What I used to do is decide my day rate and work out if the span rate. If the day rate could be achieved while providing quality survey’s then I would go for it. If not then I would leave it as you will be a busy fool.

Great write up. I can't help thinking that due to the popularity of wood burning stoves , the government are getting twitchy about folk not depending on the electric or gas supply for heat , hence the suppliers loosing money. In other words they are using the environment issue as an excuse because the suppliers that the government are on bed with are loosing money from consumers.
