  1. I think the general consensus is: how can you do the above, when they are trying to tell you how to do the job, 20 years ago, when I started, I never dreamed of trying to tell the boss how to do the job? Get it?
  2. Ok, perhaps I can't spell or punctuate properly but I can cut trees.
  3. :thumbup:This is exactly my thinking, really winds me up.
  4. Guys just out of Colledge, all the gear no idea. Half of Honey brothers Hanging of His Harness!
  5. 'All the gear, absolutely no idea'
  6. Bearing in mind what you've said above, you ought to get the same again, I would.

Would it have been best to work that out before you took on the ten year lease? I would just get on and use it, now you have it!
  9. Log customers always complain about something: too big, too small, too long, too short, too wet, too dry, too much oak, too much ash, want to be in when you deliver, tipped in wrong place, don't burn quick enough, burn too quickly, the list goes on...........
  10. Why not on slopes? I did a huge willow stump with the one we used to hire, that was on the bank of a dry stream, handled that fine?
  11. Pretty good, did 420" in less than an hour and a half on two different sites!! Two of the teeth fell out, looks as though they had cracks from over tightening in the factory.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
