  1. Hi folks thinking of getting some work equiptment together, so as i can do general tree work,im looking at a tipper van and a chipper. But do i realy need the chipper? As all the waste i get can be booked in at the local tip and taken in the tipper ,exept the logs ,i require for my self family an friends ill keep, Just trying to keep the costs down whats your views on this ?and the best way forward.cheers...
  2. Hi all going to take my 30/31 38/39 soon ,want to get some practice tree climbing in .     Hi everyone thinking of purchasing a pair of chainsaw trousers,they will be used for on the ground work, and climbing tree work, I,m also looking for some chainsaw boots the same apllies ground and tree work, could you please point me in the right direction as to my final purchase with regards to best quality, comfort, durability thanks....
  6. Hi all what works best with this rope Yale XTC Magma Ice, a prussik loop if so what mm and what prussik knott ? or a split tail ? with what knott ? for best results ? Also is it best to invest in a Cambium friction Saver to preserve the rope, or is the bight to tight when the rope is passed through the saver ?would it be best just to pass the line over a branch ? cheers...

  8. Hi all are you allowed to practice tree climbing in your local park with all your climbing gear or is this frowned upon by local councils ?? If your going to buy my own equiptment is it safe to buy second hand stuff or go for new? ie rope, harness, carabeeners ,slings, any thing of importants really.

Hi all new to this site I was thinking about taking my cs30/31 this year as i use a chainsaw at home but would like to be taught properley,Then hope to take my cs 36/39 Then want to progress to climbing as this appeals to me have done some climbing rescue work in the past if this would help as hoping to get into this trade ,is my age against me 41 ?still strong an fit and dont mind hard graft im from midlands, where would be my nearest course or contacts be or quickest way to get started ..much appreciated.....fuda
