  1. Hi all, My should has dislocated twice in the past few months, I went to the doctor and they referred me to a specialst. I saw the specialist today and he did a few test. His discision was that he would give me a MRI scan and see in detail what is going on. Following that he would either do physiotherapy or keyhole surgury. As I am only 18 and finishing A levels I do not want my shoulder to be dislocating on a regular baisis because it takes a couple of days for the pain to go. I was just seeing if anyone else has had key hole surgury on their shoulder or any other part of the body as I am wondering if it is worth all of the hastle?
  2. Hi, we found him about 11pm last night. He was cold and hungry but after alot of TLC he is on the mend Thanks

  4. Yeah Iceland is brilliant. Great for sight seeing and natural things on massive scale! They have tried to plant trees but they are failing in most parts of the country.
  5. I am currently in Iceland for a holiday. Officially it is above the tree line (too cold for any trees to grow.) BUT they are growing a trees over here, mainly pine. My question is, is anyone or does anyone know of anyone who works as an Arborist In Iceland?

  8. Well there are quite a few but the best ones are supposed to be Myerscough in Preston, Pershore and Moulton college in Northampton. I have got offers from them all but they all have there good and bad points but pershore is good If you want just PM me or add me on Facebook (I am the one up the tree in my display picture) I was in your situation 2 years ago but now I have sort of figured out what course to do now!
  9. Yeah I am sure you can do CS30 and CS31 on the level 3. CS30 is chainsaw maintenance and CS31 is felling of small trees. If you phone the college they will tell you straight away. I am in Kings Heath but I think I am going to live in but I am looking at it from a uni aspect so living in is more of a social thing. What school in Northfield do you go to? I am at Bishop Challoner doing A levels
  10. Hi, I was there yesterday aswell for an interview for the foundation degree in arboriculture. I am coming from a levels. The college does give you the training for the tickets (30, 31, 38 and 39) but you have to pay for the assessment. Hopefully I might meet you around pershore next year! Are you going to live in?

  13. I brought this helmet about 6 months ago and I have been working in it on a regular baisis. Inevitably it is beginning to smell of sweat. How does everyone else try to keep their helmets clean and smelling fresh?
  14. I am in my last year of doing A levels and wanting to do a foundation degree in Arb. I have been to a few uni interviews and most of the applicants are progressing from level 3 in arb. My main concern is that the people progressing from level 3 will know a lot more and I will struggle to catch up. I have got a lot of work experience in the industry and I am very keen to learn more. My question is, has anyone gone from A levels on to the foundation degree on arb? If so, was the transition managable? Thanks
  15. Hi all, I am looking to buy my first big chainsaw. I was set on getting the MS460 from the Arb Show in June but now the Stihl 2013 catalogue is out I have discovered that the MS460 is being discontinued and being replaced by the MS461. So my question is do i buy the MS460 now or wait until the summer as planned and settle for the MS461? Does anyone have experience with the new MS461 is it better or worse because as stihl have shown before with the 201t, a newer model does not always mean a better model! Please help me!
  16. Personally i have never seen a professional crew using Makita. Where I live it is Stihl all the way!!!
  17. Hi all, does anyone know when the 2013 Stihl catalogue is coming out?
  18. I have got a pair of Sip Protection Freedom Class 1 for sale size large. PM me if you are interested!
