  1. Any opinions from anyone that has one? Not sure whether to get a Jameson or Silky Grateful for any advice Rob
  2. Have a look at Altberg boots if you get a chance. Had a pair for years and they have been excellent. Just about to send them back to the factory for a resole after 6 years use.
  3. Really grateful for all the comments and advice. Have learnt a lot from a bad experience.
  4. It’s a really shaded spot. Previous lawn was moss and mud and it’s created a clean year round play surface for the children.
  5. If he smashed a window pane or fence panel I’d want it replaced rather than glued and made to look fixed.
  6. I find it hard to accept a repair. I didn’t sign up for the damage. It was perfect before he started.
  7. I can’t see how it can be repaired. I suggested they drop over a flagged area. Could have piled brash to avoid damage? I did suggest it.
  8. Should I withhold paying until it’s sorted? Just feel daft for not going out and stopping him chucking the stuff down. Assumed he would take care and knew my concerns. Did mention it when he started and also asked the groundie.
  9. Had a contractor around today and he’s managed to rip my astroturf by throwing logs from a height. Did ask him to be careful. Is it fair to ask for insurance details to get it put back to how it was before he arrived? Grateful for your opinions.
  10. I'm a relatively amateur mechanic, but really enjoying it. Need to replace the pot and piston. Do I need to apply any sealant to the gasket or do I use it dry? Got a flywheel puller for the chainsaws. Will it work on hedge trimmers? Appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. Bought a Merkur Futur in the brushed finish. One of my best purchases. Use the feather blades and find it cheaper and better. Also use the Taylor's stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
