Double vodkas in their beers when buying rounds with hardened drinker. They don't taste it. They dont seem to be able to handle their beer as well as usual.

Since a lot of these boat postings have no arb connection I thought I'd post these couple of pictures from a project I was involved in last week. High explosives and beer were the sole cargo.

The rig is great yeah but too much friction for this application.

I lived in one for 4 years while building my house. I shan't set foot in one again. I made a little shed on legs for my wood burner. Built it lean too style around the window against the outside of the van (after taking the window out). The stove shed had a little door in the side so you could stack logs in it directly from outside. Ah, there it is, far right of pic

I'm leaning more toward Hilti products these days.

I like the thought process. bit concerned about having the load hang on the separate bit of progress capture. Like a Shunt or a Gibbs could handle the haul speed but I'd be worried about devices like that capturing the sheath once loaded but letting the core creep through until the resulting bulge jams the capture device. A prusik would stop that from happening but theres no way to control it with the rope moving at speed on the haul and you'd probably have to cut it off in order to lower.

Thanks mate but it really needs to be hands off and fairly friction free. We intend to lift the load 100ft as quickly as possible using a speedboat.

Thanks tree beard but am looking for something "hands off" like pro traxion or wall hauler but with no teeth and also need lowering off option.

Can any of you folks recommend something that will capture progress of a 500kg load on a 2 to 1 haul system utilizing 10.5mm polyamide semi static that doesn't have any teeth and does have the option to safely lower off mid haul? Thanks loads in advance. Al.

This is a serious arb vessel. No fancy lines. She's rough but she's slow.

On an Island in Loch Maree

I bought a wee stone house in Scotland some years back. While I was busy gutting it, I came a cross Foil backed woodchip wallpaper. The walls were wet behind it. I guess the previous owner wasn't into getting the roof fixed. Anyway, something like that (if it exists outside scotland) might work. You could also batten and plasterboard the affected area. Or maybe give it a few coats of gloss paint before emulsion. With regard to creosote, I sometimes get it in my flue from burning at low temps. I get rid of it by bunging a few beer cans in the stove and cranking it up until they've gone.

They will talk about how the war on Iran is taking ages to get into gear and how all their plans for the Euro have come crashing down. They'll also talk about over population again without a doubt. Who cares, they're on a losing streak which will continue on a downward spiral.
