  1. Hi all I drove past today to see if i can get a look of the tree. I have gained an idea that its fairly secure and its only reason for being taken out is that the neighbour isnt happy with it being there. Since then i have had a phone call saying i have entered a verbal agreement that i will undertake the work. so i can be prosecuted all that bollocks Anyway i have said if you want me to do the work get back in touch with me when the owner of the property is home and we go from there otherwise dont bother me with you mithering and threatening of legal action as i have entered no contract and i havent even undertaken any work. I also said that i will then be in touch with the next door neighbour in around a week or two to explain what had happened while they was happily away on holiday. People like that i dont understand if there willing to pay for it whats the problem in waiting till she comes home. Grghhhhhhhh Owell lets see what happens.
  2. I have just phoned her back and i have said i wish to speak to the owner of the property the tree is on. To this i got well what does it matter if am paying for it she wont mind, and then to top it off she said that they werent back for another week so i politely requested that i come by then and discuss with both sets of clients and see what we can do. After 5 minutes of talking and understanding the laws, i get the well its posing a danger in these high winds as the roots are starting to uproot. I have then said i will call round tomorrow to assess it but i shall not be touching it till 1. I have it in a signed written document. 2. Have spoken to the owner of the property. To these terms she then said oh she cant wait that long as shes in fearful for her life i then went onto say i will call round in the morning to assess the situation but i wont be commencing work until the points are fulfilled. Have i taken the right manner to go about it so i am covered on my end?
  3. Have just had a phone call asking could i remove a scots pine. I thought oh yes nice good day removing a tree, and then comes the BUT. She then goes on to say it is in next doors garden but there currently away but have gave there consent to this. I found this didnt sound right and that she was trying to con me into doing a job without the knowledge of other people. I have said if you can get me it in writing that she agreed to the work i will come and quote the job. She then went onto say that she thought it was abit to much over a tree and i explained my point of view and she then said that am to come round monday so we can discuss further. Was after abit of advice of how to play it, should i go along the official route or if not what could be the consequence of doing the job without no written warning. Cheers
  4. I was thinking about them but its just one day so far but i think i should invest in one for the future.

  17. Yeh i do like the element of what you say goes and your in charge really. The only problem is as yehs say yeh can come unstuck sometimes for work but its the gamble am willing to take to help me get out there and travel the country and then hopefully the world but lets take it one step at a time for world domination. 18. But in todays world no one is really guaranteed work are they, its just the companies that i phoned and that phoned me most of them generally said i would need to be self-employed thats why am thinking should i do it because its offering me work which is now and i can take it instead of asking round all the big companies and getting knocked back because of lack of experience of what ever. Am more for going self employed because as you say your free to do what ever and i have got other certifications in other fields eg mini digger license but its not what i want to do thats a back up as johnnyboy said. Thanks for the advice Tree-Fela
  19. Yeh thats what i keep but ano i shouldnt listen to other people but what if the work drys up being self-employed where as in full-time employment your guarenteed work. Am just weighing the pro's and con's but am finding being self-emplyoed more profitable and more indepedance. Tree-Fela
  20. After this week and requesting work i have had a few yes for work and i have been told i have to go self-employed to complete work with them. i am just wondering is it worth going self-employed or working for a corpy, i am swaying towards going self emplyed but people who i know are telling me not to so just wondering if anyone could help me out and give me some decent advice. Thanks Tree-Fela
