I searched all over facebook, twitter and even myspace do you remeber that. Haha it was in my local i was talking to me mates ald fella an he does all rope access and he gave me hsi number to get in touch with him and the rest is history. Mozza seeing as tho i owe you for giving me the number would you like me to ask my friend that i recently found if he can get you anything as a goodwill gesture. Sam i plan on having it cut shorter so i will have 2-3 pieces of rope possbily more can never have too much rope.

Found a friend who works for them flies all over the world for them he is going to see if he can sort out some kind of sponsor for me, also hes gunna look into tree climbing competitions and all that for me.

I have just bought a petzl grillion lanyard 5m, here it comes for £15 get on that absolute steal mate. Looks like my climbing kit is going to be mostly petzl. Got a few other bits coming next week helmet, another lanyard, 230m of climbing rope, karabiners and a few other little bits so got myself a few bits of added kit, might even get meself another harness.

Good little tune, the one favourite we had today was take a ride into the dangerzone as we was doing work in a public park ano its sad but we get caught up in the moment

Dont get me wrong at the tender of 20 i am feeling the current music but i like all the golden oldies, the four tops the temptations, chris de burgh and we cant miss out whitney houston can we hahaha.

Am probably gunna get alot of stick but is anyone liking the current music being played was out today and i got the urge to start singing all the current pop songs, dont get me wrong a good sing along goes away but i had the rest of the lads singing away by the end of the day. LIttletree luck would have it i have had 3 companies phone me today about possibly work opportunites. I will say what i have covered within my training and also whilst being in working environments, if i do think i will not be able to complete a task i will be the first to tell them as in this game confidence is everything.

Swampster i would do but i aint single id love to and am only 21 so id defo love to go me missus is a trainee nurse so she might go but shes adamant she doesnt want to, think il just have to keep talking to her. Littletree i havent got a van thats my downfall really i know but am just starting out so havent really got the wonga to get one, been buying all equipment then il go after the big un i have looked everywhere for a little van but the insurance is a killer and as i am not yet known enough to be certain i can pay the money each month i am very reluctant to try and take it on as i dont want to be in debt at this early stage in me life. I am going gung ho with it am phoning texting all the companies in the area am even going as far out as preston and manchester for work as its dull and boring am only in college now one day a week so am free monday to thursday doing nothing just sitting around looking at me kit knowing how much its annoying that i had a beep as a boss and got gibbed off for a son who has only got cs30 but ahh thats todays world can help who yeh work for. Hi All Yesterday i recieved some unwelcome news. I have been told i am not needed no more as the bosses lad is starting to work with him now so av been told to do one basically. Otherwise i am disappointed to say the least but i know now that was his intention all along so just a learning curve. I am now on the lookout for any bits of work in and around the crosby area in liverpool but am willing to travel all over for work. I have got CS30, 31, 38 and also woodchipper. I will also have CS39.40,41 in the coming weeks. Aswell as these i have got my new climbing kit, own saw, own ppe. If anyone needs a hand let me know as any work is much appreciated at the moment. I dont work for companies i tend to do all my own work from various sources and i just thought it would be better to have it than not have it the person whose gunna do is gunna do for cheap because he said its brand new nothing will need checking really but will give it the once over jsut to make sure. Whilst i do agree with the point of inspections in kit i think that your point exactly is why these records arent required as you arent going to risk your life or put yours or others in harms way by using a dodgy kit.

Hamadryad do i do all the inspecting and when the inspection is due just hand that in when its getting inspected.

Thats why i have booked it in next week so it can be checked over, with this do i have to create a system to write down any faults or cuts on the rope so when it comes upto its next inspection. I am not sure on this loler as we havent covered a great deal whilst in college so i dont really know what the full details are.

Alls that is so it covers my arse if anyone says is it lolered i can go yeh here you go theres the paper and bang.

I came home today from work to find that my other half has decied to get me my first climbing kit. All thanks to gustharts for there help she said they was so helpful. Just astounded me that she thought il buy him his climbing kit so me is a happy boy, booked it in to be lolered next week so its then safe to use whilst out at work. THANKS GUSTHARTS

All the above advise is genuine but theres things you havent even considered How much do you have to spend? You need another person who is trained to either be your groundy or climber? Can you drive and tow trailers? What CS's have you got all togather? Where are you based? There like a few of the main points you need to consider am just starting out meself as i have nearly finished my level 3 diploma in arboriculture and it sounds like you havent got a clue about tree surgery and the costs it involves. I have been getting alot of my own work lately and being new to it all theres been times i havent even made any money at all. You need to sit down and complete a checklist of what you need as people say you need to buy equipment which if bought new is not cheap, buying secondhand isnt cheap either, then buying or renting vehicles and then can you tow chippers, then buyiing insurance, your other person like groundy or climber, cost of each job, and the last thing can you even undertake any chainsaw operations as i have seen alot of people who are GARDENERS OR LANDSCAPERS AND HORTICULTIRISTS who think they know everything about tree's and were we have been trained about the theory side havent got a clue. I think you need to sit down and think long and hard about weather having your own company or wether to be self-employed which relieves you of some stress of being a company holder.

I fancied abit of smooth dont know why, just driving down the busy roads with "GIVE ME A LITTLE MORE TIME AM HERE TO MAKE UP MIND, GIVE ME A LITTLE MORE TIME" thats what you could hear driving through town probably and are other new lad was like what is going on. I know its probably been done before but i was wondering whats on everyones jukebox nowadays when in the van. Was sitting there listening to gabrielle today with a bit of rod stewart and marvin gaye, thrown in with a lil four tops and the temptations. Just wondering what everyfancies nowasdays really just depends.

Hi All As i have got a bit of money to spend on equipment i was wondering if anyone on here has got any saws or other pieces of equipment. i am not interested in any climbing kit as i have got that sorted i am after any other bits.

Since i asked for work on here i am getting fair bits of work now and i am starting to get more work than i can handle. I am getting my kit sorted out now too as working all the time i have been saving it all the time so once completed my course i can then go out and get into it big time and have all the correct kit. The one question i am struggling is with i dont know what to buy regarding lowering kits and any advice is appreciated. I have got my climbing kit sorted, most of me ppe, have got 3 saws now and i am just wanted advice on lowering equipment now. Any advice is very much appreciated. Cheers Tree-Fela

I dont know what i went round i guess we all do stupid things in life but i am far than made up that i went round otherwise id of been recieving letters of all kinds. You may think because people told me not to but when you think of all that your getting accused of you aint going to sit back and leave it are yeh really. Will i say did i provoke the situation more of course, am i stupid for going round no because look at what i learnt of what she was upto. Its all well sitting on here saying why did you go round but if you was in the situation i was i dont think you would of sat there and done nothing.

Hi all As today i have read that my post had been taken off due to language so i will inform you of what has occured since. I finished work early yesterday so i decided to go round and confront her about it and try and difuse the situation because it was getting annoying having her call me up all the time. So i took meself and my work partner round and we knocked like gentlemen and all that and was very respectful towards her. Then all of a sudden things got a little nasty. She started saying to me i was trying to rip her off and that i was a good for nothing money grabber who was just out to rob all kinds of money off people. To this i replied and what job do you have, what home do you live in, have you ever worked all your life and then i heard the f word off her husband. He then decided to have a go at me saying am only jumped up kid who doesnt really care for respect and that i probably upto and into all kinds of various criminal enterprises. To this i replied am sorry but i have worked since i left school and i have learned also to further develop my skills and knowledge of the indsutry. He then went onto accuse me of breaching this contract which i have got no idea what there on about. Here comes the big one. The husband the came out with a contract with four signatures mine, neighbours, theres and the last one is rather dangerous a local councilman who has signed off saying the works shoudl undertaken immediately. With this we decided to call it a day i said you will recieve a letter from my solicitor and that you will be being sued for forgery. As we were leaving we then seen a young lad walking up next doors pathway, to this i shouted him so we could have a word and then i had so much of a urge that i had to fulfill my duty to the community i told him of what next door was upto. He then went onto tell me his parents shall be back on thursday and he will tell him then, but i also said i will call round friday to discuss it. He said that would be fine. I also found out that the couple who owned the property next door have never worked in there life they got the house bought for them and because one of the parents died who had amassed a fair amount of money they decided that were all indebted to them. Why do people who are on the dole or who have got money think people owe the world they need to wake up an realise there the main reasons why this country is in the mess were in. Rant over
