  1. We all dream of massive sheds but sadly I have not got one! I was pondering erecting a square of 4 metal site fencing panels, filling it with chopped wood from processor and sticking a tarp over it. After seasoning mesh can then be removed from 1 panel for emptying. does anyone have any experience of this cowboy method, will it collapse under the weight? your thoughts please.
  2. I have just been offered white wood for £40/t roadside. i would love to buy several loads but i think log sales are down due to the mildness and i don't want it to rot in my yard.
  3. thanks guys, it's nice to know i was in the right area with choice of equipment and rates. it may end up cheaper to buy in the firewood but people do like to keep hold of their own wood. we haven't taken stuff off site for a while, unless it is softwood....
  4. I have T33 LOG It is a great bit of advertising, I still have no sign writting.
  5. i have an ms 440 with a 20" bar which does me fine. I got a 25" the other day but it still has not been used.
  6. Does anyone have any experience of mobile log splitting services to squeeze some more dosh out of tree surgery clients? I already do larger scale tractor/firewood processor service but I was thinking of the smaller jobs. there are a few road tow 14t splitters around with their own little engines for about £3.5k.
