  11. I was wondering if this might be worth something to someone. Or any tips/advice about doing something with it myself.
  12. Cheers Paul very helpful. As for ppe, I just find it hard to get them to wear gloves, but I think for professionals it's only an advisory item.

  17. If its your own kit does it need to be legally?
  18. When you say "legal" who is enforcing/punishing that? If your self employed is it not just up to you. Don't get me wrong I'm all for it just don't understand it.
  19. Who are you proving that to slack ?
  20. Cheers willow. I like to do everything by the book then you know where you stand but don't want to argue with new boss who's done it his way or the highway for donkeys.. All wear trousers, helmet, no gloves and kit isn't lolered.
  21. I known I'm being a bit of devils advocate but if the insurance company asked for the R.A then you could write it out after. Is there anyone who can come onto site and ask to see one. HSE, council, etc
  22. Cheers for the reply treequip but you've just confused me more. There's only ever 4 of us all self employed and working in private gardens.
  23. Hi I'm looking for some advice please. I worked previously contracting for SSE powerlines work, where you have to do risk assessments, ppe, method statements and paperwork for everything. I've moved to a new company where I'm still self employed but basically running the day to day manual work. The owner is a bit old school and reckons I don't need to do risks assessment, loler or full ppe. What exactly is the law and consequences of not doing them. Cheers Andy
