Yes, we buy hardwood off Ross, have a look on web site or facebook page to see what we get up to (warkforestlandscapes), if you are local Tim & I are in a 'Hexham courant' suppliment soon (could be a rubbish article!) and we had 2 pages in May forest Journal with stuff about our business history. Do you have certificates? will bear your offer in mind if we need extra help! Welcome to Arb talk by the way..

Hi Ross, can you email an invoice for the timber? [email protected]
Would it be ok to get Kieth to pick the timber up in a week or so, or does it need to be moved asap?
Saw your Dad this morning on the roadside near Elsden, had a good day clearing trees for FC, we are getting some decent firewood off the site as well. Steph

Hi Jax
Thanks for reply, well done on passing the CS30 & 31 and getting the job.
I'm In Kielder forest, the biggest man made forest in Europe, on the scottish borders/ north northumberland, mostly FC, a vast track of mainly sitka, looks like winter wonderworld today with all the snow and ice!

Hi, sounds as if you are a bit like us, doing all sorts, there are fads and seasons of different work, which makes life interesting, just a bit feels a bit manic sometimes. Interested in the charcoal, something I've never done, and really love the coast up near where you make it, stayed on Holy Island in June last year and it is so beautiful,
you are really lucky to work near there! Just priced up a load of work in Harbottle Forest and Kidhope, FC Rothbury District, and we are really looking forwards to working on the ancient Oak woods up there (dead wood pruning over footpaths), also some Beeches at Harbottle castle this week for NNP weather permitting. Thanks for the message, was great to get one! Steph

Hi Natalie
Just introducing mysely
Is it 'northumberland firewood' that you are running? I am down in N tyne and run a firewood business, out of Wark forest, putting out around 300 tonnes per year at the moment, most of it is bought in as we dont get much from tree surgery arisings, although we have some felling work lined up for early next year up near Alnwick. I bought 50 tonnes good hardwood thinnings from 'hardwood logger' early this year, he is a nice guy, based at Wallington.
I love the Firewood business, but also really love the tree surgery and the work we do for FC, eg brashing/spraying etc, just like working out in the wilds basically! Tim & I have run a tree surgery / firewood business for over 25 years, used to be a big deal, but moved up here 8 years ago and scaled right down, funny that we actually make a better living on our own. I have a girl who does part time now, logs and groundwork,
Anyway, hope to hear from you sometime Steph
