Hello I am leaving the army in mid August or earlier if opportunity arises and looking for work around Merseyside and Lancashire areas I live in Southport and really keen on making a start in new career. I have the following tickets CS,30,31,38,39 Chipper, Stumpgrinder, CSCS Card and Emergency first Aid at work.   6. Well I am still serving in the Army so how would I go about getting proof I have MOD clearance?

  7. Hi, I would be interested in the work you have advertised I come out the army in 5 months time so am guessing I will be MOD cleared. CS30,31,38,39 chipper stumpgrinder. Own van PPE climbing kit and saw.

  8. I have posted on here before but just updating my status. I am leaving the army after 7 years in 5 months possibly earlier. I live in Southport and looking for any opportunities in the north west. Also looking for any work experience in north west and south east whilst still serving in the army. Qualifications listed below CS 30,31,38,39. Woodchipper. Stumpgrinder. Emergency first aid at work. CSCS Card Health and safety working at height.   10. Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on the IPAF MEWP training courses been having a look at them and theres quite a few. I am leaving the army in 6 months and just finished my cs30,31,38,39, chipper and stumpgrinder and thinking of gettin MEWP trained so if anyone can advise me on which course will be best to do that will be great.   13. Hi similar post to one I read yesterday, My name is Matt I will be leaving the Army in August after 7 and half years service. I am hoping to to make a new career as a Tree Surgeon. I am currently undergoing training at Kingswood training center in Kent for the following qaulifications, CS30,31,38,39, Woodchipper, Stumpgrinder. I am also due to attend the following course prior to leaving the Army, PA1/PA6A and Emergency first aid at work. I have a full Clean Driving Licence (including B,BE, B1,C,CE,C1,C1E fkp) I enjoy physical work and very enthusiastic about making a new career in the industry and not afraid of a hard days graft! I also have £2,00 training credits which I can spend on any course a future employer would like me to attend. I can also be released for work experience prior to me leaving the Army in August I would be very grateful of any information or opportunities anyone may be aware of.   15. Hello Just looking for some advice if anyone can help, I am leaving the forces this year and attempting my CS 30,31,38,39 chipper and stumpgrinder at Kingswood Training in two weeks time. I am also looking into attending a Safe Use of Pesticides & Hand Held Applicators (PA 1 & PA6A) at TKF Training in Yorkshire. Has anyone attended this course and will it help me in making a start into the industry? Thanks

  17. I am doing my cs 30,31, 38,39 in January at and I want to prepare myself by learning as many knots as I can I know a few but which ones should I concentrate on the most? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks Matt
  18. Thanks alot for everyone's advice. I understand I will be taking a pay cut which I am willing to do to start a new career in something I will enjoy and not afraid of hard work. So looking forward to getting into the industry. Thanks again Matt
  19. Hello, I am currently in my last year of employment with the army and have been interested in a career in Arboriculture for a while and tried researching it as much as possible. I was am hoping to do my courses at Kingswood training center and gain CS30 CS31 CS38 CS39 Woodchipper, Stumpgrinder. Then also do my first aid UA1 and UA2 if possible at TKF training. I am then hoping to get employment in the North West of England. However on looking online at current job vacancies is there any hope on me getting any employment without any prior experience in the industry as every jobs seem to require a minimum of 3 years experience. Any advice or comment will be appreciated thanks. Matt Slack
  20. Hello guys I have just joined as I am looking at getting into the industry after leaving the forces. I am looking at completing my cs30 cs31 cs38 cs39 lantra wood chippers and lantra stump grinders tickets soon. Will it be difficult for me to find work as all jobs I have seen advitised require at least 3 years experience. I am not afraid of hard work! Any advice will be great thanks.
  21. Hello Just came across your name and read some of your posts. I see your ex army and made the transition into the industry, I have served for 7 Years and Im a Cpl and leaving army in a years time. How did you find the transition into the job? I have researched the training and visited Kingswood training centre which I can fund with my resettlement. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  22. Hello I am Leaving the Army in a years time and I am interested in getting into the industry. I intend on doing my courses at Kingswood Training Services in Kent. I have also been looking at doing the Royal Forestry Society Certificate Arboriculture online from Mysercough College over the next year. I am after advice anyone can give me on this course please. I am willing to put the hard work in over the year but will I be capable of completing it with no experience in the industry already? Any advice will be greatly appreciated Thanks Matt Slack
