  1. had the right foot pantin for almost a year brilliant climbing aid you can adjust it to fit over spikes aswell no more snacks in the tree woop i use it for short ascents around the canopy aswell every little helps i say!! slightly off key but was working with a chilean dude last year and he had a crazy technique where he'd have his climbing line up and down, then whipped out a lowering strap did some crazy friction hitch thing around both strands and footlocked like that does anyone have any ideas on what it was and how to do it?!
  2. coolers what length is that dude?! may have to visit my aunt one weekend
  3. Cheers dude. The only other place i've found it is in the states, but f the import costs lol
  4. I really like the line and from what I can determine online it's the lightest on the market. Would you recommend the Imori?! All the guys in the yard are still on 13mm xtc causing excess weight and drag on long branch walks. Finding it confusing looking through the ropes and really stuck for choice lol
  5. I would check mine but had the rope 3 years and seem to be missing both ends Well that's annoying followed the link and it clearly states it has a ce number Will have to call and give them some grief i think. They were trying to sell me the tachyon thinking about it. What sort of price you got in that shop near you mate?!
  6. I do a bit of work for a rec climbing company for kids and do ziplines all the time. If you don't want to manually brake them you can tie loose tool hitches (i think it's a marlin spike but not sure) on a tail line then as they reach a pulley at the top they slow you down gradually. Only problem being if you get it wrong your stuck. Another idea we toyed with was to extend the brake line to the landing zone take it up 10 foot then take a couple of wraps with the tail and let it slow itself again. Yet again if it doesn't work you're gunna tarzan But if anyone does have any genious for a self braking zip line i'd love to know Mike
  7. Hey guys, Wasn't too sure where to put this so here we are. Been using new england fly for a while but recently been told by Sorbus (who i bought it from) that they can no longer sell it due to a lack of ce number. I've trawled the internet trying to get my hands on some but no luck. Does anyone know where i can find some?! Cheers Mike.
  8. Thank god for that i was starting to doubt myself. Cheers guys.

It isn't exactly cheap though mind, rumours of paying £4 a pint But after pulling a 6 day week I could be hitting the sack in the early hours of the evening me thinks.

Just googled winspit that's quite cool. Will try and pop down at the weekend or something. I used to work in corsham wiltshire way and used to go down the old quarries there. Some amazing artwork dating back to 1800's i think. Most have been closed off now but if you know your way round you can still get through.

Cheers for the input guys. Went home for the weekend to see family and stuff and we met up to try and sort things out. She'll be moving down in the next couple of weeks all going well. Some interesting ideas though, knitting is soothing and kind of handy in the winter months with a nice thick pair of socks :-B I haven't tried the pub yet seems like a 10 - 15 minute walk will aim for Wednesday though midweek wind down is good for the soul. Cheers again fellas nice to know theres aalways someone out there, hopefully things will work out if not watch this space B-) Mike.

Hi all, Just moved to the wimborne area for a full time position. My girlfriend was supposed to come with me but changed her mind after a two week holiday. Obviously I have no idea what there is to do at weekends and evenings. I would appreciate any suggestions of things to do to taken mind off things. Cheers Mike.
