  8. Hi There first of all where do you want to work? once decided then look, Oz is a pretty big place, im in Sydney and been here 2 years now, going for permanent residence in May if Sydney or NSW is you place i can put you on to a few companies Steve
  9. Heads up on the immigration side, seem to be starting to make it harder to get into oz, quite a few business visas have been removed, the 457 visa still remains bit it's now a skill select visa and the process has changed a little, if anyone is planning to do the jump the don't delay, also make sure you choose the right employer because you must stay with that employer for 2 yrs before you can go for permanent residence, this is what has just happened to me, I changed employer and now have to complete an extra 7 months until I can go for permanent residence , food for thought
  10. Most firms in oz like to trial you, if you can get a firm to sponsor you then follow that route, I may be able to put you on to someone, PM me Cheers Steve
  11. Hi Arran your age and ability will be very favorable in Oz or Nz, there seems to be a gap in the industry for climbers like yourself, i have quite a few good contacts in Oz so just PM me and i can hook you up,
  12. Hi Ricky, sent you a pm be carful when planning to go to Oz on a holiday and have job interviews lined up. if they find any evidence of doing this you will be on the next flight home, that means carring any documents, references and so on, if you can ring companies direct, this means getting you times right and calling during work hours, choose your area first try all the big firms, AUTS, City wide, Active trees, to name a few join Aussie tree forums eg treeworld , (this is how i got my job) all these will help, a lot of tree firms ask for white cards, these are a health and safety card essential for commercial work not sure if you can do these in the uk but its no issue doing it once your here we will give your a trial if your serious about coming out for a month keep me informed
  13. Hi i dont think you can travel with your children, i just did a visa wizard search on immi.gov and it states no dependents on the WHV 417 visa,if you would like to send me your CV i can put it to my director for sponsorship??? steve
  14. Hey Joe No worries, keep in touch and maybe we can help when the time is right for you steve
