  1. hi there second hand ride on mowers that are worth having are rare as due to the replacement cost of the new machinepeople run them into the ground,you can go for a conventioal style tractor ride on or an out front mower as made by husquarvanor? kubota or cub cadet with regards to mulchingit is more suited to semi-arid ground such as heathland areas the idea is it puts nutrients into the soil and helps trap moisture,in most of suffolk and other areas the soil is good enough and already wet enough,if you try to mulch you just end up with a lot of mess that gets carted into the house by kids and dogs,and also you can get problems with moss and other diseases such as fungi hope this helps
