  1. Experienced Arborist ( ex Capel and i ran my own biz for years ) looking for part time work in the above areas. I have a Land Rover, saws, hedgers etc etc. A Transit Tipper and a chipper will be available. Experienced Climber is also available. Anything considered. Please call or txt me on 07783-479958, thanks.
  2. Essex Chelmsford Police were hopeless when my Entec was stolen in Dec 2010, it was advertised on Kent Gumtree, but they werent interested.
  3. As you are aware, my 2000 Entec was stolen a while back by some scum bags and im now on the look out for a replacement. Seen 2 that were of interest, but im pretty sure both were scam adverts. When i asked the first guy ? for a contact number, he replied, " I dont have a phone at the moment but how much are you offering " Yeah right ! It appears to be a minefield / bloody nightmare out there re secondhand chippers.
  4. Hi Normandy, thanks for the Article. Looks interesting, any chance of e mailing it ?
  5. Think that was the co from Shropshire who were supplying them. My one had been rebuilt at a French Army workshop in Cleremont Ferrand and was in lovely condition. It came complete with a full Vinle rear tilt and rear bench seats, both of which I took off. The body sides didn't drop ( just the tailgate ) which was a pain. And off course it wasn't a tipper. A couple were converted to a modern Perkins / Renault Diesel engine. I took my one down on the Friday for the weekend with 2 mates to Beltring War And Peace show in July 2000, we had a brilliant weekend there, it was scorching hot. All the SMs I ever saw were running on Michelin XL tires, which weren't a good heavy mud tire on these trucks. We took it on the off road course and got stuck, had to be tugged out back wards by the ruddy course Hi Lux ( much to my amazement ) . Quite a few people videod this as they were a rare sight back then. Lots of shoots were buying them in the late 90s early 2000s as they were ideal personnel carriers and I'm guessing as lots of these shoots folded with the recession that many of these great trucks have been parked up and left to rot. I used to pass one parked up by the side of the A21 near Goudhurst advertising a shoot I believe, but it disapeared some years ago. Spares weren't a problem back then, but there were no hand books / work shop manuals going spare, the firm I bought my one from kindly let me have their one spare Drivers handbook. There was also a Tree Surgery co in the Ingatestone area who ran one for a short time. I covered a lot of miles in our one and got to know these vehicles very well. One of these would still make a great workhorse . If anyone has one / thinking of buying one, PM me.
  6. Very tempting ! They carry a load of chip / logs and towed my Entec very well !
  7. I ran one of these in its French Army Woodland Camo colors for nearly 2 years from late 1999. In the late 90s the French Army were selling these and Hotchkiss Jeeps off. 2 cos over here were bringing them back. They were circa £2,200 for a clean Winch ( Truel ) equipped truck. They were poular with shoots etc. They were similar to a Unimog, petrol flat head V8, Diff locks, and much more. Loved my one, it turned lots of heads and got me a lot of work. Stupidly sold it, but it was a thirsty beast and very tiring to clamber in and out of and no power steering was a pain in the butt. The dodgy firm i bought my one from had me over big time, as i paid extra for a winch truck, but the winch was knackered. One day a real character knocked at my door and said " mate, i cant believe it, the last time i saw one of these was in Djobute, when i was serving in the French Foreign Legion " ! Often wonder where my one is now, a guy from Wiltshire bought it. Any one on here running one ?
  8. Hi all, im looking for an Entec or T.Wolf 35 DH Evo 4 Chipper. I bought one new in 2000 ( it got stolen a while back ) and was very pleased with it. I dont mind a machine needing work. I Would also consider another Diesel 6 inch capacity machine, Jensen, Greenmech, Schleising, etc etc. Thanks.
  9. Hi Drew, sorry to hear re your loss, my Entec was stolen in Dec 2010, its out there somewhere and im determined to get it back. Dont give up hope, will keep an eye open for you over here.
  10. Has any one any ideas on where stolen Chippers are ending up ? Is it Eastern Europe ? Or closer to home ? When my Entec was stolen in Dec 10 i rang Entec / T wolf and a was told that a lorry had been stopped at the Dartford crossing with 2 chippers bound for Poland.
  11. Hi A P, sorry to hear you had your one stolen as well, its sickening it really is. My Biz folded shortly after, but i have recently re started. Im not sure how to upload photos on here ?

  14. Thanks for posting this !! Ime still looking for my Yellow 2000 Entec/Timberwolf DH 130. It was Stolen by some Scum from the Chelmsford area one evening in Dec 10. Its out there somewhere and ime determined to get it back.
  15. Hi all, ime still looking for my Yellow 2000 DH35 EVO 4 , which was stolen a few days before X Mass last year ( 2010 ) from the Chelmsford , Essex area. I cant put into words the Greif and Financial loss ( Snedding up on the truck ) this has caused me and my Staff . And i completely sympathise with anyone who has had equip stolen. I used to run a Simca Marmon MH 600T 4x4 ( what a piece of kit ) 10 odd years ago and that was badly vandalised one night in South Woodham Ferrers , I had had cash stolen from my LDV truck within a few feet of me and also the odd broom , but nothing like this . I had a report that it was on Kent Gumtree earlier this Year, but both Essex Police and Kent Police are a complete joke. No interest in following it up at all. Kent Police told me that as it was stolen in Essex , they couldnt do anything. What a f joke !! Too busy filling in forms and nicking no Seat belt wearers. !! Someone out there has it, either useing it or stashed away ? There are very few Yellow Entec EVO 4s left out there now, They changed to Orange in Circa 2002 ) so its distinctive ( if shes still yellow that is ) . She had " Micron And RIDE R1 "Stickers on the back, so was pretty distinctive. Ime determined to get it back one day ( i just heard of a guy who got his digger back from over 300 miles away after 18 months ). He spotted it in a Trader Type paper , aranged to view it with a pal and called the old bill when he got there. I just dont get the time to trawl Flea Bay etc etc, each eve on the look for it Someone has it . A reward is still offered. Thanks in Advance.
  16. Climber needed for occasional work by a small, friendly :001_smile:firm. Please call me for details, on 07776-110173 Thanks.
  17. Hi guys, thanks for the messages. You wouldnt beleive the aggro and loss this has caused me. Bought it new ! Its out there somewhere and with a bit of luck one of the theiving scum has been fed through it !! Just hope the no stress kicked in when it got to his waist !!!!
  18. Yellow 35 dh evo 4, feb 2000 model, stolen from the chelmsford , essex area just before x-mass. It had 2 distinctive decals on the rear, which said "ride r-1" on the right side of the machine and "micron" on the left side. Although these may now have been removed by the scum who took it. Reward is offered for info leading to the recovery of it. Call me on 07776-110173 thanks.
  19. Looking for a Diesel Entec/Timberwolf Chipper to replace one that was stolen last year. Essex based but will travel for the right machine. 07776-110173 . Thanks.
  20. Re chippers coming adrift, guy that works for me had a timberwolf come adrift, ball hitch broke, Chipper ended up in a front garden, on top of a brick wall screwed up almost into a ball !! Several cars just missed it as it careered down the rd . Another pal lost a chipper, it went up a garden path and demolished a porch !!
  21. Interesting replys. Pretty sure it was P..... scum who took it or poss another firm, have my suspicions , but cant go into detail on here. Just be on your guard guys, the greif this is causeing is not pleasant and a lot of memorys attached to that machine. Ime also wondering when they will come back for my saws, hedgers, brushcutters , skymasters, etc etc..........
  22. Thanks for the replys guys and soz to hear re others have been visited by these scum. I Have an idea who it could be,who took mt Entec, but imposs to prove.
  23. Entec DH 35 EVO 4 was stolen last night, Abs gutted, i bought it new in March 2000 . Brilliant machine, Very low houres for its age, just hope it turns up, but unlikely . Apparently a Timberwolf was stolen about a fortnight ago not far from me, whilst the operatives were in the rear garden. Theives unhitched it from a transit and took it . Will be looking to replace ( if the ins pays out ) so will be looking for another Entec/ Timberwolf . Any for sale at the moment , or in the near future ?
  24. Hi Guys, Stolen From the Chelmsford Area last night/early houres of this morning. Feb 2000 Model, bought new by me, very low houres machine, very distinctive as very few yellow entec machines around now, On the rear it had several decals, which included " RIDE", " R-1 " . Abs gutted, theiving scum, any info re this machine much appreciated. From what i have been told its possible that it could be in Ireland or Eastern Europe by now, but who knows.
