  11. Hi Adam,

I was reading your thread on converting your 110 to 3500KG. Did you have to take it to VOSA to have it uprated? I've uprated all my springs shocks etc just to stop it looking overloaded, didn't realise you could uprate them so easily, thought chassis had to be thicker mm. I'd be grateful for any info. Regards Giles

  12. Serious problem whenyou live the wrong side of the Tamar! Is the passenger foot well getting wet?
  13. Here you go - Ranger crewcab tipper! Ford Ranger 4x4 Turbo Diesel on eBay (end time 21-Nov-10 14:36:04 GMT) Bet the steering is a trifle light when loaded!
  14. Here you go! Ebay Item number: 150520131435
  15. Cheers Andy, After the info supplied by you guys last night, I've read up on 'o' licence and im also considering the LGV test. That way it's all ticked off. The tests are only going to become tougher and the fines higher for winging it. Problem with 7.5t the costs are the same and the payload is bugger all. I'll dwell on it for a couple more nights and then consider digging out my passport and heading north.
  16. Hi TL, Ive done my research now on makes of crane, registering, 'o' licence etc but need to find a 4x4 7.5 crane truck. Regards Nevi11e
  17. My quest for a crane continues... Does anyone know anything about these? Nothing whatsoever on the net, which makes me very nervous. Gross weight? Available spares etc... bedford mt 13-18 4x4 flatbed with hiab NEW BATTERYS on eBay (end time 02-Dec-10 18:11:05 GMT) Most appreciated for any info folks.
  18. Good show, just the weight issue then...
  19. That's what I thought and to be honest South Devon Isn't to hot for getting busted as long as one stays away from Newton Armpit
  20. Thinking of buying one and could do with a query clearing up.. I have an 'old skool' licence and can drive 7.5 tonners but the truck is over that, so if it's 'ag' registered is it ok? I'll be driving it on the road 90% of the time and running it on derv as it's not worth the grief of using red. Working within roughly 20 miles of the yard. Oh! and do I need a operators licence as I'll use it for delivering woodchip/ logs as well as collecting my own timber? Was going to ring VOSA but i've had a couple of beers now and will be talking tat down the phone...
  21. Hello Si, Did you sell your truck in the end? Who did you insure it with? Trust are being a div about them being ex Mod. Regards Giles
