  1. Aye 1974 was a bad year for Oldham, being lumbered(no pun intended) with a prickly white rose in our garden of particularly nice red ones:001_tongue: And well done Pete:thumbup:
  2. I have 2, I took them in from someone who "was bored with them"... mine are a male and female, yes, the previous owner thought they would make big bucks!(not) I would say they are not a childs pet, they unless very well handled can give a nasty nip, which would cause most to drop them. They are only smelly if not cleaned out daily, they require year round heat, fresh salad& live food(which also needs housing) my 2 are in a 6x3x2 viv, which I would say is just about adequate as the male is around a foot long from nose to tail. I let them out for a run round a couple of times a week, they can shift like lightening, are are sometimes "annoyed" when its time to go back in, they climb well and quick, if you have room, time, money then they can prove interesting. If you have any more questions, please ask.
  3. As a barrier cream, try udder cream with aloe vera(not uddermint) available from most farm and horse type shops, excellent stuff. For quick relief from bites and contact rashes try canestan cream from chemist, and take a anti histamene tablet, many availabe at supermarkets now.As used for hay fever. Most of all as tempting as it is to scratch, dont, you are then likely to get a secondry infection:thumbdown:
  4. Well done all, awsome to watch:thumbup1:
  5. Thought I would upload a few pics for you from GYS, sorry they are a "bit after the event":blushing: I hadnt seen this section of the forum before.
  6. Site available, Oldham/Rochdale boundry. Thanks
  7. Hi Pete, thanks for that:blushing: would have helped if I had filled in the user profile:001_rolleyes: I have now, so if anyone would like to dump some chippings on me they would be gratefully received, transit tipper is just about biggest rigid body motor that would get up the lane(overhanging trees) You would even get a brew and a chocky biccy:thumbup1:
  8. Hi all, and thanks for letting me in:001_smile: How do I go about getting some wood chippings? I could do with a couple of transit loads for outside some sheep buildings.Frost then now rain made it terrible boggy. TIA
