everyone should see that

Try the folding ones Rich- I keep one in my vehicle- nice and safe and is often used - Maybe some grease/vaseline to keep rust free. I could see it going through a thick rope piece of cake.
Failing that 660:biggrin:

Dam - ordered now - not to worry there's something still quite nice about having box sets...
Never mind - you can still get series 5 for free:001_smile:

Watch it on Netflix
£6 for the whole 5 series. Free if you've never had it before.
I've been getting up at 4am to get in 3 episodes before breakfast. It's well worth it.
Great Finale too. Won't spoil it.

we had a customer who was slowly but surely losing his boundary hedge to honey fungus . We tried most things and he even got armilotox people to come and treat the soil- to no effect. The disease continued- 1 or 2 plants (privet) a year. In the end we removed 3 healthy ones further from the dying ones. and planted yew in the gap. Still there today and no more dying privet.
So it is possible and there is light at the end of the tunnel although this is drastic and the client won't want you digging out healthy plants- you've just got to.
Having said that, as the ground is dry under the conifers on your site, I wouldn't recommend yew unless you can keep watering in the first couple of seasons. You could try bamboo:lol: but be warned!!!

Acacia pravissima - Ovens Wattle:thumbup:
Spot on- Thanks- apparently not that uncommon but prefers sheltered spot. This one is about 3m high.
I was waiting for someone to say it's a

sorry about the pics- they were off bens phone and we should have taken a close up.
We snaffled a cutting and the leaflets remind me of a ginko in shape but not in the way they are spread nor in size.
Certainly a wierd one

Anyone?
Grows about 40 metres from the sea although reasonably sheltered.

Remember spalted beech is highly carcinogenic
Didn't know that
How high is high- more than benzene?

Hi Alec
That would suit fine for a lot of it.
How much could she handle- we'll probably have 20 cube chip and quite a bit of log wood.
-
Anyone know where we can tip chip in these areas or even Maidstone or Gillingham. Quite happy to let tip site have any log wood if that clinches the deal. We're working a long way from home very soon.
-
I know I've requested before but I've lost all the details people kindly sent.
We have now got a lot more tree work in Chatham/ Sutton/ Kingston/ Faversham/Maidstone alongside more local stuff.
If anyone can help out M25 side of Sevenoaks would be ideal
I'm quite happy to drop logs off too if it helps as we don't really do logs other than for our own use and our stores are full.
Can anyone help out
PM if you like.

Great looking home.
Shame to lose it just because planning wasn't sought.

if there is any cotoneaster of meritable size (8"+) it is of interest to us woodturner's.
can everyone get away fron the idea that everything under 18" is either firewood or food for chippers...
.
Cotoneaster 8inches +
Can't ever remember seeing anything that big or is that girth?
Where is this leading

I think half the time domestic log customers are alot more savvy than they let on. If they cause hassle you will just give in and throw a load of extra logs in to keep them happy. We seem to live in a time if you complain you get something free and for some its an automatic reaction especially if they have the power of feedback or a review.
Very true
In truth though, if customers like you they don't want to complain as it makes them feel bad.

Theres a garage door company on our industrial estate who says the same.
It's not arb specific.

The comment about spares is an issue and could swade you. Nissan spares are very costly. I mean £50 for a wing mirror glass. Thats not unusual.
I've seen invoices for £20 for a washer.

Cedar is great firewood- People get put off because it's so light when dry but it is good especially 'in the mix'

why did train weight get brought up:confused1:
a 7.5 tonner is loaded and if your gvw is less than this (ie legal) you don't have to do 40 on a single carriageway. You can go a whole 10mph faster. Great for winding up the 'following you so closely' kids
-
Had them for 25 years.
The older ones had terrible ride but were bombproof though the steel truck bodies tended to rust from day one.
Now got the latest independent cab which makes them nicer to drive but we're having EGR issues and a cracked manifold just cost £700 to replace.
Carry wise, they're fantastic.
3 in a cab- they are shall we say.....................intimate:001_smile:

We're going

Its a tricky one
We,ve got a chestnut to fell. It lost a large limb earlier in the year. Theres a lot of children play around it
If we retrench I think it will require monitoring.
Hmm...
Any thoughts.?
