  4. Back in the mid 80s we used to peel the bark before we could move the timber, even then they were restrictions on how far you could move it. Now living in the Highlands and DED is only just starting to take hold here, some beautiful mature trees which will soon be lost... Will be lots of work for arborists though. Oh and I wouldn't have used spikes either, just not needed... plus with the bark shedding very easily they become a pain.
  5. Great bit of kit and I know our H&S advisors would love it... if it had a simple rubber stopper on the top of extensions.... I dont think anyone is knocking the kit but lets face it H&S have a opinion on everything these days... Look forward to been able to buy one...

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
