  1. I have the SEQUOIA Harness, and I am in a similar position. The leg adjusters are only just done up tight enough and could be tighter tbo. I was thinking of trying to find someone who can adjust the webbing for me, but unsure about compliance regs if its altered? Mine is ok in my class c trousers but i dont like wearing them unless i really have to.- does your colleague wearing protective trousers?

  2. :laugh1: So true. Perhaps get a good look in the sinuses around the base, and if no other signs of problems appear then avoid sounding any alarms. Whisper words of wisdom, let it be, let it be. (acknowledging Sir Paul--ok with you hama, or should I name the album too?) don't remove branches without a good reason.

    Eiffel Tower/expanded buttress, nice.

    Shouldn't that be the Dali-Hama?:001_tt2:

  3. Ok boys! I will bring this matter to a conclusion. There is no, and never has been a 365xp it is only 365 or 365 x-tork or 365 special.

So lets stop this d1ck measuring contest and get back to the 550xp, zip it up!

Or strip to the waist and fight :boxing:

  4. This was a gcse maths question, with the question reading, " which is the greater volume, 5m3 or 5 3m?" (small 3's)

Or 5 meters cubed, vs. 5 cubic meters. If you advertise m3 then technically the customer is correct. this is one of the most common mistakes in volume and is why it was drilled into us at school.

  5. I have a rayburn, refurbed and bought from country style cookers in Hereford. cost about £2.5k plus you may need tank and rads, pump and pipe etc.

Fitted it myself, and plumbed all the rads etc. Best money I ever spent. It heats our house via the rads really well, and its a BIG house, 180m2 ish.

Had it 5 years and no problems.. get a good flue for it, a double insulated one works great on ours, oh and make a rodding point outside the kitchen so the soot dont make a mess when you sweep.

  6. Right ideas on a postcard. I want/need the carrying device to hold the sharp cutty bit away from me, pointing down, handles up. I want this to be practical for working off steps, clambering in a conny hedge, or working around a garden full of shrubs. I'm thinking of something along the similar style of a drill holster for the angle maybe? Or something that works with a Sawpod mounted on the leg? Or an over the shoulder holster, mounted on the back? Once I have the idea I can mock it up in canvas or something and try it. Just no good at designing stuff.

Micks idea is pretty original, I like it, but I want the cutters covered.

Over the shoulder boulder holder, nick on from your wife, I do! that elf on lord of the rings had some shears on his back if only i knew how to get a picture on here!:confused1:

  7. I think we all agree that the wild wood bbc4 program left us feeling a little cheated, as far as good tv is concerned I think that the members of Arbtalk could do a much better show.

    Here's by idea;

It will be a cross between Axmen, harry hill, benny hill, x factor and gladiators!

I will be the host, mendiplogs can do the script, wooded can be the sex appeal, spud can do the tech stuff, and mr bullman can edit! we will have a show down each week timbersport style with the looser being humiliated dragons den style, there would be a musical bit, which will be spontaneous and monty python themed. the finale will be an Ateam inspired build to rescue a woodland from neglect and the developers, oh and we will all travel in the Ateam van! (possibly a unimog?)

I think you will all agree, its a winner.

  8. Biomass doesn't go to landfill, and if its waste wood, what's the problem with converting it to green energy?

Those chippers and bigger are common here :)

You misunderstand me, I am saying that waste wood should be chipped for biofuel, but not perfectly good trees.

  9. The first time I heard the term " whole tree chipper" I was angered. Not really changed my mind since then. Plenty of waste wood going to landfill for biomass, precious few trees in the UK, what a waste to chip them after the investment of growing and managing.

  10. As everyone else has said a 346xp, these are probably the best saws ever made by husky and will cover everything a cs30 etc. will cover you for. it is also great for climbing with, and commercial felling. You will need a second saw at some point, its just common sense, get a bigger saw then and you will be able to cover everything. The old saying "don't run before you can walk" is one you should remember, as should we all!

  11. Green, bolts sticking out................ Its Frankenstein! run, save yourselves!!!!

Can you not hire a chipper, I know not everyone likes to buy things on tick, myself included, and at least you would have something that is safe and reliable. I dread to think of some poor person getting hurt by this kind of thing, or stung in the wallet for a bargain!
