Tell him he can drop it but you won’t pay.
He’ll be happy just to get rid.
I have two tip sites almost equal distance away - one is free to tip at, the other pays me a little for any logs - guess who gets the most logs (not hardwood obviously)?

That’ll be so brittle it’ll shatter on impact into thousands of pieces if it does have adb. Wouldn’t advise climbing it 👍
-
The amount we’ve chipped, burned, etc must run into thousands 😂☹️

Can’t comment on the levelling, but definitely a stump grinder for the stumps - digging Holly out is horrible, conifer not so bad but I wouldn’t do it.
whereabouts is the job?
-
I’ll have a look at mine tomorrow and report back 👍

There was a post last August to recruit a climber near Hamburg - maybe contact them for advice as they’re more likely to know what is required, advantageous etc?
some have posted that speaking German isn’t necessary but course it helps to speak some of the language whichever country you go to.Viel Gluck 👍

There have been a few posts about working in Germany over the years - put it in the search and some of your questions will be answered. Seems to be mainly employed roles from memory 👍

Hardly ripping them off - they wanted it doing again as it overhangs 3 gardens, a public alley and doesn’t overhang the substation. Very happy with the job, booked us in for another two days work and neighbours were good too. Standard job every 3-6 years depending on location

Apparently a cell of ISIS based in Afghanistan. Both US intelligence and the group itself claiming responsibility seems to support the idea. I'm surprised to be honest, my first thought was Putin doing it himself to muddy the waters a bit, for whatever reason he'd think it necessary.
60ish dead now, 145 injured. The gunmen are currently still at large.
I suppose, logically, Vladimir will now want to divert some of his military capabilities towards Afghanistan...
What could possibly go wrong!
Death toll currently at 143. 11 suspects including 4 gunmen arrested.
isis k has claimed responsibility

If you click on the image file you’re then given the choice to view or download. Get where you’re coming from though - properly loaded pictures are far better and should get some answers 👍

Signed. Good points made but
there are a few typos that could do with editing to help it read more fluidly👍

Morning all - thrilling morning of sharpening chains then deliver some nice clean woodchips. Still raining at the moment ☹️

My kango has been submerged under dirty water in the last event, what should I look to replace it with?
I got the Ferrex one from Aldi for £100 - seems to be good for the odd bit of work I’ve done with it. I have several Kangos needing work but the spares don’t seem to be available anymore so I replaced with the Ferrex

Morning, another morning checking the bank to see if I’ve been paid yet but alas no. It’s great being busy and buying more kit but the pressures builds up and I go in a rage when owed money! Hey ho, nasty leaning pine to remove today, got my subbies in and a tracked mewp coming so should be a good day.
Set strict payment deadlines after which interest will be charged with a reminder one day before.

Probably - but pictures would definitely help!

Wet all day here in Essex- got another 6 out of 16 50ft leylandi to fell but the ground is now too boggy to get the truck and chipper near. No idea how long it’ll take to get dry enough ☹️

RIP Dave Myers of the Hairy Bikers - love his and Si Kings way of bouncing of each other

With new customers, I always stipulate payment on the day the job is complete at the quote stage. I’ll wait till that payment hits my account before leaving unless it’s cash or cheque. Will soon get a card reader too I think. Been messed around a few times and won’t work for those people twice.
You soon get to know who you can trust to pay later that day/evening etc -
How will they class the extra type cab/supercab with occasional seats in the back?

Been listening to him since the radio 1 days - such a shame at no great age at all ☹️

Morning troops - dry here at last thankfully as off to do a repollard of a spready, wide London Plane. Hopefully done by mid afternoon but as I’m the brash dragger that’ll be the bottleneck 👍

Douglas Fir as firewood

No equal from home - I’ll often bring loads back, take my pick of what I want for myself then drop the rest. The rubbish stuff, ie woodwormed, bit of rot etc goes to the free site for biomass.Couple of people will pay if I drop at theirs - certainly not expecting to get much for softwood but they’re happy and my truck is ready for the next day.
if I need to tip during the job then whichever is closest 👍
