  1. I've seen a few stumps that look perfect. I'm doing it just a matter of time
  2. A mate ha for a chainsawill so I'll have a word. Also would you stick the glass to the wood or would you leave the glass resting on rubbers so it's removable
  3. Has anybody ever made anything like this as I have 3 old oak stumps I found in the woods thinking of having a go
  4. We need a minimum of 50 cube to be viable guys sorry I should have said. Normally about 25 sticks to a load at minimum diameter. I have a buyer wants specifically poplar and it all goes abroad.
  5. Need it standing preferably so I can skid 50ft poles out to roadside. Bigger the better has to be mid diameter of 38cm under bark as a minimum. Would by at roadside if they are in 50 ft poles. Pm or call me if you have anything of interest. 07595342392 Regards Ben
  6. Anyone free to do a weeks felling got a forwarder in need to make the week count and get job done if poss. Job in Cambridgeshire text 07595342392 if interested. Thanks
  7. No not double drum cable went to a pulley to pull tree against lean. Got 100m of cable so not to bad most of the site is accessible
  8. The rides are used for a commercial shoot and a public footpath
  9. We have pushed no end into the edge of rides but it just looks a mess. I have got high standards and hate leaving **** loads of mess. Big burn up at the end should take care of that so thanks guys.
  10. That's what we will do away from the rides but had to fell trees along the ride for minimum collateral damage and also steep banks either side. I might have a word with owner about borrowing there teleporter with muck grab and have a burn up then. Plenty of room on the centre ride
  11. Nothing was said in liscence would I need to contact environment agency
  12. Hi guys. I'm removing a few hundred tons of poplar in a wood and brash is flying everywhere when they hit the deck. It's my first forestry job so just wondering what people normally do with it all when its on the rides. I will windrow everywhere else as there are other species in the wood. Just wondered what the options were. I am skidding stems out with tractor and winch. Cheers

  15. No better or worse than any other machine this size. Sturdy as you could ask for frame. Good engine ain't A lot else can go wrong
  16. Had that as well mate. http://www.multi-tip.com. Have a UK office tell them what you want they will send you the bits. Change your bearings when you do it save you the job at a later date
  17. Had mine now for 2 - 3 yrs. never been serviced still runs fine with Chinese engine. New ones have Briggs or kohler so should be even better. Definitely change head to multitip well worth it. Only thing I've had wrong with it is things rattle themselves loose like the exhaust and things like that. But nothing expensive at least
  18. Anyone got any used but ok bags for sale. Don't mind the odd small holes as long as they still hold logs. Getting ready to bag up fed up of wooden crates that break all the time
  19. Well done pal looks very good I'm sure they were very pleased
