    Hi Looking to get out of the uk for a while. (not on the run) Anyone know of anything in europe or ireland. Have relevant tickets to climb, also full first aid, street works (op & sup), also cscs and cpcs, in fact i'm a pretty good catch. applied for one job in sweden as discussed in a previous thread. Anyone any thoughts. Cheers

    Your all correct. CDM was modified to incorporate more responsibility to the designer, i.e designing a build, structure etc that can not only be built safely but also maitained safely. From our point of view as a contrator/sub contractor we still have a duty of care weather the job is notifieable or not (500 man hrs etc). If you look at the regs they cover such things as welfare (hse big on that) LOLER, PUWER, WAHR etc etc. These things you should be incorporating into your buisness, weather 1 man or 50 men/women (oh aren't i pc). It doesent have to mean a whole heap of paper work, but a basic set of forms filled in weekly/monthly can protect you if you have any h&s issues. Hope this helps
