  1. Good post tom

Timberwolf along with a lot of other manufacturers have a lot to contend with.

Firstly they have to try to build a machine to satisfy a budget, which is difficult, then they have to build a machine that is robust and reliable and keep it sub 750kg which is extremely difficult.

If the rules change and the tow limit was raised to 1000kg it would take a huge amount of pressure off manufacturers and give us a more substantial and reliable machines for our money

At the end of the day you get what you pay for, simples

Just to add, if the chippers were serviced as they should be then the bearing problems would be picked up on the service schedule.

Hi dean, the 190 is the one with the same engine as the 150 but built not to a 750weight spec, mines 1050kg, unless you're talking about the 150?

  2. we have done a few domestic fences over the last few years, nice change sometimes, i always get the customer to pay for materials up front and they are fine with it.. sometimes i think we go extras with building it strong but i try and build them to last like as if i'm doing it for myself. pricing? well theres a fine line between ripping someone off and working for free..

  3. Hoe about rolling up one of the heras mesh sides (a knackered one will do) & sticking it vertically in the middle then stacking the logs around it? that way you'll have a central post to help with a cover and you'll also have a roughly 2 foot diameter cylinder shaped gap in the middle to help with ventilation and quicker drying time.

you mean like a chimney for when some scrote pops a firelighter at the bottom just before you want to sell it? would make a cracking bonfire eh?

  4. related topic i think.. took the old push iron out for a ride down the local canal towpath in the rain lastweek, speeding kingfisher cruised past the other way in a shiny blue flash, funny i havn't seen one in years but then i havn't been out on the bike for years too:thumbup1:, also had the good experience of waking up in the RV we rented in california and looking out of the window to watch hummingbirds hovering a foot or so from the window..:thumbup1: i never set aside time to just appreciate/look for things like this so its nice when they just appear
