  1. believe me im not going anywhere near it till everything is ok'd on paper, its not even in my town, the guy wants it clearfelling and cutting to 8ft lengths for a wood supplier so i don't even get the wood:thumbdown:, might go see it at the weekend and if it looks dodgy i'll phone the local tree officers, guy seems genuinely sound but you never know

  2. saw this on the way home tonight, the nugget in the suit was trying to direct him and kept waving him through even though he was already stuck, the nugget in the truck said his destination was david brown works 200mtrs past the bridge, seen loads of trucks stuck here but thought i'd take some pics and share with you guys:thumbup:

  3. Hi i have a client who owns a non tpo'd small woodland, not in a conservation area or anything, he wants the lot clearfelled inc a couple of mature trees, approx 200 trees in total, does he need a felling licence for this? i got one before from the forestry commission but that was for a tpo'd wood, does it just apply to volume? thanks, Ed.:001_smile: (there is definitely more than 5cubic metres being removed)

  4. you guys worry too much, its a machine engine running on red for next to nowt, if anything the extra weight of the flywheel will help the engine rotate smoother? and the bearings will be replaced when they go and im not worrying about them, hourcounter? its still a low hour machine so maybe running this on low revs will help bed the engine in rather than the usual warmup and full revs routine? i have no plans for selling it anytime soon so will keep modding till it looks like it belongs on pimp my chipper:thumbup:

  5. Do you have to run the chipper flat out still?

no it gets through even tough stuff at tickover, not too slow either, it does go a bit faster at higher rpm but im scared of losing bodyparts by rushing:blushing: as for price, if the woman sees this she will go spare.. £750-supply/build, £180-hydraulic components inc fitting:thumbup1:

  6. its free here, just fill in the right forms and send to the right office and they let the emergency services etc re-route as well as rescheduling to not have too many works in one area etc, as rupe says in emergency the police come in very handy:thumbup1:.. as do stoppy boards and landrovers, logs, groundies and brash:thumbup:, however imo temp traffic lights just encourage them to speed up:thumbdown:
