  1. i had one the other way round haha, the local handyman said he would knock down a large beech tree for free for the firewood, i got the job for £1800 and got the wood for free. chin up dude it'll never catch on proper unless they get trained and insured:001_smile:

  2. hi yes that would be cool where abouts is it cos i need to get bus there thanks ed

its at slaithwaite, they are mostly big chunks but i can cut them to size with chainsaw easy enough for ya, there may be some brambles in the way but the wood will be worth it:001_cool:.give me a call saturday sometime. 07747022678

  3. my car insurance went down £900 3yrs ago for no reason, the womans disco insurance went up over £300 this year, then two days later she wiped out a new fiesta from end to end at 1mph while backing out of a space at sainsburys, couldn't help thinking i might have got my moneys worth this year, not even a scuff on the disco haha, im sure they will sting us again nextyear but till then happy motoring:thumbup:

oh if you see a green discovery at the supermarket in hudds do not park near it...

  4. Kat1e, here's a vid of what my landy will do all day every day, i daren't say what it carries and tows but they are the mutts for what you asked for. you should find a defender in your price range, i'd go for a 110 for towing and carrying as they are comfier and don't bounce as much as the 90's, i might be biased but there's a good reason:001_cool: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcvrL9bgeDs]YouTube - landy mud bath[/ame]

  5. Just thought of a flaw with that idea. If you burn green woodchip it burns less efficiently so you production would be reduced. We are just about to start using bio-deisel in our chipper.

you could heat up the woodchip and extract the gas for powering the engine, then burn the (now dry) woodchip as fuel to heat the next fresh chip, very simple and very little waste:thumbup: see the woodgas thread for links

  6. probably not, he just wants a different toy till he's bored of it, i used it more than him this year (250miles) but if you want an injected rover v8 im sure my mate has one lying around somewhere, he just put a 3.9 auto in his 101, and only runs v8's in his defenders.

  7. if the exhaust is stupid money, go to your local exhaust dealer (not the fastfit type) the older the better, i used to work at one and we made custom pipes for anything classic cars, kit cars, bikes, dragsters, generators and whatever came noisily through the door

  8. Ha its nowt to brag about! Your a long way from home mate. Business or pleasure?

yr not wrong there, im bashing trees on my dads land, here till friday unless i break something else on the landy:thumbup: i think i know where you are, is it that spot with loads of dinky trees both sides of the road?
