  2. hi mate i go on around 2.5 m3 per ton give or take and like the lads say it does depend on how long it's been cut for and what not hope this helps!

  4. hi you seam to be in the same boat as me, ive got really good quality logs that are well seasoned but i cant seam to shift them, im, charging £55 for a level pick up load and they just dont seam to be shifting, im starting to wonder what im doing wrong? i have changed the price a few times down to as low as £45 and yet they still didnt go, i cabt possibly go any lower because i'd be robbing myself! hope things pick up for you mate
  5. I do the same and have just read that if the charcoal absorbs moister (5%) it wont ruine your bags but if the charcoal gets wet i.e rained on it will leak out and knacker the finial product, i ve been selling a few bags in the run up to christmas things are looking good:thumbup:
  6. have you tried one of those splitting granades? i have a mate that does a few for home use and he swears by it! me personly i like me axe old skool and a few swear words help from time to time
  7. same up here in the newcastle durham area, i charge a small fee for my consultations and design and refund it after the job is complete, it puts off a few people but noone that if after a proffesional job doing! when i explain how much goes in to the pricing and designing of the jobs people seam to understand
  8. hi mate sounds like your doing really well, im just setting up but seam to be a little slow at selling any advise? im not too expensive and have good logs, mainly advertising on the web any tips? cheers mate
  9. hi mate i live in chester le street and am starting the same thing, but im with you i think your price reflects the hard graft that goes in to doing the nets, bulk bags whatever.... i had the same price in my mind so i say we stick to our guns and if people dont like it they can always come and chop logs for an hour with us then see what they think huh?
