  2. I am still trying to get my head around the business of SRT , really interested to learn more. Came across this PDF which I found useful. If there is anyone running a workshop for SRT or just Rec climb with some of you experienced guys I'd be very keen to get involved. Really trying to broaden my knowledge at the minute and this sort of stuff makes much more sense in the flesh!! Chris
  3. I'm currently in talks with Active regarding a possible sponsorship deal to go over and work for them. I know we have a huge amount of experience on here to draw from with people working in the industry from all over, can anyone provide any feedback on this particular company? maybe someone here has worked for them, or knows more about them and their reputation/what they are like as an employer etc. any feedback would be great, Also I am still actively seeking other offers/opportunities in Australia so if anyone can recommend any other good employers that may be recruiting that would also be greatly appreciated. on another note, can anyone confirm to me that ISA certified arborist is not recognised in Aus? any recommendations for other quals (further/theory type) that would be worth me looking into getting, that would hold value in Aus Thanks Everyone!
  4. sounds like the computer isnt powerful enough! I had this problem, vidoes were unwatchable. I have recently upgraded to a new laptop and now i can play/edit with no drama. HD video demands a lot of processor and memory power. Also make sure you first move the files to your PC harddrive before attempting to play, this makes the job a lot easier on your PC's processor etc.

  11. me and my girlfriend have been wanting to go and spend 6 months to a year working in aus for some time now, both having been to the east coast in the past we are thinking of heading west and will be looking for work in the perth area hopefully late next year. she's a qualified hairdresser and i am in the process of getting into the tree industry now so by this time next year i will be qualified and have a little experience under my belt with any luck. does anyone have an idea of work prospects in the west and do the nptc qualifications have any merit out there?
