john called me today! A470 road side clearance work,i told him i cant start till weds as i am with council all this week,and got work on mon,tues next week.
at the moment they are working up from pontypridd to the abercynon roundabout

not prison............. what i mean is why would anyone want to work indoors when you can be working in places like this. good point though,your response got me thinking. saying that though,if i had a office job in a building dating from the 1600s:thumbup:

there are some monster trees in this park J,behind this lime there are others touching 100ft,theres also massive beech and chestnuts:blushing:

sometimes in our line of work we get to do some jobs in great locations. been working in the grounds of a old manor house that has been restored,was part of a old mill 1 million was spent on the restoration,the right hand side [looking]is going to be offices,the middle a cafe,and the left hand side is for bats. just taking out a few trees ready for the grand opening,the large pine to the right is coming down,the 2 ash in front of it 30% reduction,plus a few small pines,ash trees and a oak coming out. we startled a pair of sparrow hawks yesterday in the grounds and one dropped its kill right at our feet [a redwing]

you got to do what you think is best,sometimes its a hard choice to make,i had to make it myself,we had a 14yr old jack russell who became senile,constantly barking and peeing in his own water[he lived outside] he had no quality of life,we made the choice of having him put to sleep,also agreed with the vet. but they again we only brought our rhodesian ridgeback bitch home from the vets today after a major op [womans trouble] she went in friday,had op yesterday and back home today.set us back £633.00 but she is only 8 so we were prepared to give her a chance:thumbup1: at the end of the day you do love your pets and they become part of the family and its hard to say goodbye.

good question! the guy did have permission to remove limbs,but as the nails..i am not sure. did say to customer when i give quote,who put the copper in the tree,answer was must have been next door when they removed limbs?? if the aim to to kill tree,and it works,the tree will fall on customers house. if anyone in the house is hurt or even worse,the nail chap could be in a spot of bother...
