  1. Thats it Jonathan, just drill the holes through the rungs, make them a little larger than the screws you are going to use, we have found over the years you can use any type of ladder be it a good one or a poor one, if its attached to the log properly your are only using it as a guide for the first cut, hope this helps.
  2. I have never used easy rails, we have always used a ladder, works fine and never had any problems, you just screw it to the timber through the rungs.
  3. Yes it is a little more expensive, but what you use on a daily basis, two or three litres. It is kinder to the enviroment and the end user, we have used this for the last three years milling timber and have found that using regular 2 stroke gave the guys headakes after a days use where the Aspen 2T did not, the gases produced from regular petrol are very high where when using Aspen they are reduced.
  4. Just use Aspen 2T, ready mixed, kinder to the enviroment and a lot brtter for the saws, you shold be able to get it from your local Arb shop.
  5. We have just recently joined the forum and thought we should introduce ourselves, Acorn Milling Ltd provide a On-Site timber conversion service, mobile saw milling with national coverage. We can mill any size of timber using a variety of chainsaw mills, the Alaskan mills and Logosol mills, we also have a static sawmill at our woodland where we produce dimensional timber. We are always looking to purchase interesting timbers, so if any of you guys have any for sale, give us a call!!
