  11. dont think so, although both this one and its sister the opposite side of the path are multi stemmed so may early in their life been pollarded and long since left alone.

NO! just dysfunction within the ripewoods, latter it may be an issue structuraly, but slowly so as it is a selective delignifier making it more bendy rather than brittle as with all ganos, its really more a problem if the wall gets thin or mycelial sheets form between fibres in cracks for example
